Hey, y'all! (Shh, I don't know why I say y'all, I'm not even from the South, but apparently my mannerisms are contagious so some of my friends say "y'all" now, too ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

Anyway, I'm Avery, also known as Kat (don't worry, it will make sense in a moment), a 20-year-old fangirl and nerd from the Midwest United States. I'm a latecomer to the team, but I'm excited to get this show on the road!

On my fanfic account (alexanderavery998), I write mostly Harry Potter and Hannibal fanfiction. On my main (Katherina_Michels; yes, that's where Kat comes from!), I post original fiction. I hope to tackle most genres eventually so that I can spread racially-diverse and LGBTQ+ characters to as many corners of the internet (and eventually the globe) as possible.

I'm a queer woman (more specifically, I guess you could say bisexual or pansexual, but I don't care about labels as long as I can freely and wholeheartedly love who I love 🏳️‍🌈)

If you haven't watched NBC's Hannibal yet, you're missing out. Seriously, it's amazing and I'm obsessed with it. Go watch it right now!

Other fandoms of mine include Harry Potter (obviously); Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda and the rest of the Simon-verse; the Star Wars franchise; parts of the MCU, especially any featuring or starring badass women; the first ten or so seasons of NCIS; and a handful of oddly specific and/or very unusual fandoms such as The Great Gatsby and Mulan.

^ tbh if I were Harry, this is what I would want to do to Snape all day every day after bullying me relentlessly for years and then being like "lol I loved your mum" at the end of his life like bitch no

Honestly, when I first read the series and reached the end, I had sympathy for Snape and didn't see him as a bad guy, especially since J.K. Rowling is herself a Snape apologist and I was young and naïve.

BUT THANK GOD I GREW UP AND ACTUALLY PAID ATTENTION, BECAUSE HOLY SHIT, SNAPE IS SO PROBLEMATIC. He was creepily obsessed with Lily, wouldn't take no for an answer, tried (and managed) to isolate her from her sister, joined a terrorist group hell-bent on exterminating people just like Lily but somehow never saw how that was problematic, called Lily the equivalent of a racial slur after she spent years putting up with him and his creepy friends and then got upset that she terminated their friendship, never got over his childhood obsession with her and wasted his entire life being a creep, LITERALLY DID NOT GIVE ONE SINGLE FUCK ABOUT JAMES AND HARRY DYING AS LONG AS VOLDEMORT SAVED LILY, bullied Lily's only child for his entire time at Hogwarts, bullied other kids in his classes relentlessly for no reason, and was overall a horrible person.

And yet people think he's a hero. Riiiiiight.

Oof, it's obvious I have ~opinions~ about this 😂 Anyway, my impromptu rant about why I hate Snape is exactly why I'm here. I can't wait to share more content like this with you guys!
