Sweet Fangs. One Heck Of A Summer!

Chapter 5

Did you add the cocoa powder to the sauce yet? Tessly called over to max who was working on the icing for the three tear cake. I stifle yawn as I check the oven the last tear for the mousse cake almost ready. We'd hadn't slept all night except once by accident and one of the cheesecakes burned and we had to start it over. Also I had never made a three tear cake before I'd only watched my parents so I hoped It would turn out alright. Tessly went back to check on noodle and take him out. A few minutes later she came back. He's asleep she reported. So we don't have to worry about him right now. By the time the cakes done and we've cleaned up and had a  lunch break it's one o clock. Mr Steve had called said he'd pick up noodle at  5. He said he was going to go on a self guides tour around Roxana  for awhile. And at 5 30 we needed to drop off the cakes  for Alice at the park. Since we had time we decided to  rest  for moment  in the front room on the booths... I woke with a start i didn't remember falling asleep i looked at the clock it was already 4! I woke up max who  also had fallen asleep. Just then I heard someone burst in to tears and Tessly came running from out the back.  he's  gone! what? I asked  groggly. Noodles gone!  She wailed i i must have forgot to close the door good when I took him out earlier. what! I say fully awake now then that could mean he's been gone for hours! I know and  Mr Steve will be here soon. Tessly said miserably. It's ok Tess i said giving her a small smile were we all  tired earlier. We quickly lock up and leave we had exactly fifty five minutes to find noodle. We has been look for half in with no  luck when we saw Jen. Jen! We need your help! She came over and we quickly filled her in. My phone beeped it was a message from Mr Steve. Just great... I opened it. Hey sorry I'm going to a bit late i will meet you in the park at 5 30 instead see you there. On one hand it brought us more time on the other i had to deliver the cakes at 5 30 and I couldn't delay meeting mr Steve anymore if I had to.. Okkkk Jen said slowly you have some weird problems but I'll help ya look. By five fifteen we had no luck i couldn't even pick up a scent. We went back to sweet fangs grabbed the cakes putting the tear cake on a wagon and walked to the park.  I could hear music coming from the party as we entered the park. None of us felt like talking. We thought about how mr Steve had gotten noodle for his goddaughter. There you are finally! Ruby barked at us as we approached your lucky Alice is patient. Maddy! Maaady! Jen came running up to me like a crazy person. Is this noodle? She asked holding the snarling dog away from her yes! Where did you find him? I asked relieved. But just then noodle squiggled lose. And landed with a smoosh in the three tear chocolate mousse cake. My cake! Alice shrieked i snatched up noodle offered a refund and got the heck outta there. Mr Steve was just entering the park as we were leaving it. Only he wasn't alone my mom dad and sister were with him. Molly ran up and hugged me. What's going on mom asked hearing Alice's shrieks. i exchanged looks with max and tessly. nothing I said quickly. Here I said handing over the cake covered noodle to Mr Steve sorry about that we had a bit of Accident. But Mr Steve handed him back to me chuckling. I told you he's for my goddaughter i just wanted to wait till your parents were here! Tessly and max stared at me.dumbfounded. I turned toward my parents, i didn't even  know I had a godfather! We wanted you to meet him first! I sigh all that worrying for noodle to turn out to be mine! I've heard you've been pretty bored this summer Mr Steve continued. So I was wondering if you and your family, friends too of course wanted to come on a cruise next year! i did say I'd pay you! We cheered.  I don't know about you but I've had enough excitement for awhile Tessly said later that night as we were saying goodbye. Me and Max agreed.
