"So basically what you're telling me is that Juan Karlos Labajo, like, the Juan Karlos Labajo, as in an overly hot celeb, saved your life...and you didn't tell me?!" Brooklyn screeches at me, throwing her arms in the air.
"Well I just told you now...does that count?" I look down at the white marble table.
She rolls her hazel eyes at me and crosses her arms.
"That's beside the point. You just got saved by Juan effing Karlos and you're so fricking chill!!" She raises an eyebrow and I frown.
"I know. But this means I owe him. Big time. And I hate owing things to assholes."
"He's not an asshole!"
"Yeah he is!" I shoot back as she flips her ombré hair behind her shoulder, sighing. "You'll thank me for this." She points her Taco Bell smoothie at me, taking a last bite from her beef taco.
I finish my grilled chicken soft taco and throw the wrapper, getting up.
We walk out of the restaurant, both of our noses buried in our phones.
"Ugh." Brooklyn suddenly bursts out.
I snap my head up. "What?"
"That stupid model girl-Megan-is all over Karlos now. I don't stand a chance." She sighs.
I smile a bit at my girly friend. "It's okay Brook." I pay her shoulder. "He'll notice you once he realizes how much of a fish she is."
"A fish?" She raises an eyebrow.
"Yeah, fish. Like a substitute to bish which is a substitute for...you know..." I nod my head as she shakes her head.
"Fine." She grumbles, not amused by my fishyness.

"Last day of school tomorrow and then it's spring break!" My mom beams as soon as I step through the door. "Whatcha gonna do?" She winks as I smile a little, setting my bag down.
"I don't know, maybe work my part time at the Smoothie Shack." I shrug.
The Smoothie Shack is a business ran by the mom of Brooklyn, Ms.Waters, who is the best friend of mom. So she got me and Brook into the business of smoothie making to "let them have an experience". Ms.Waters is never at he shop, which leaves it to ourselves.
There are rarely customers there, and if we ever receive some, they usually don't come back.
She gives me a look. "That's all?"
I nod and head upstairs to unwind.
A moment later a knock comes from the door. "Come in!" I call.
Brooklyn rushes in, grabs my arm, and drags me out of the house.
As that's where I see the most unwanted face in the world.
Juan Karlos.
"What.The.Actual.Fluff." I glare at Brooklyn. "How the hell did you contact him?" I hiss at her.
"Well...my dad's friend is friends with the far relative of the cousin of Bonnie who is the manager of JK who told Bonnie that some 'friends' need to meet JK so they set up a meeting for you guys and he's going to be sleeping at your house for the whole spring break because your mom is going out of town, right? So yeah and bye." She slips into the house before I can protest.
"Never thought I would see you again street girl." He smirks and I turn around to glare at him.
"Did you just call me street girl?" I question him as he smirks.
"Yes, are you going to be mad at a celebrity?"
He's testing me. That manipulative, cocky, boy is testing me.
I stomp up to him and point a finger at him.
"Look here, star boy. Just because your a freaking 'celebrity' doesn't mean you can fancy all around me and call me street girl and tell me what to do. So be careful with your words mister celebrity." I raise an eyebrow.
His smirk still remains, making me grind my teeth to nubs.
"Might I remind you that I saved your life and I'm staying at your house?" He adjusts his Raybans and I roll my eyes.
"I hate you." I murmur and rush in the house, slamming the door behind me.
