(This is going to be narrated on first person view, the character is a guy, and the first chapter is going to be bumpy)
I am on my way on a bus to a restaurant with a guy who I have been dating for a few weeks. He is really hot, and he had a perfect tan, and he is like, the life of the party. I was so excited on my first date, I was squealing, and everyone was looking at me funny. People always look at me funny on the buses, I always thought I was the weirdo. And, suddenly, without warning, there was a huge slam, and glass and blood was flying everywhere. I was so shocked, I was knocked unconscious.
The next thing I know, I was rushed to the hospital, and I heard talking and panic, and it was also blurry. I didn't exactly remember what the doctors said, but I did hear someone rush in and say the diagnosis, with a really peculiar and strange voice. I was now confused. I blacked out again for around a few minutes, only to find a doctor sitting next to me, glaring at me. He had brown hair, blue eyes, and bushy eye brows. I asked where I was. The doctor said," You are at San Jose Hospital in California.", in a bit of a squeaky voice. I tried to ask what his name is, and he said," My name is Dr. Shaun Murphy, and I am a surgical resident at San Jose Hospital.".
I noticed that he was peculiar in a way. I proceeded to introduce myself. I felt a mysterious and faint need to stay at the hospital, and I didn't even want RSVP my boyfriend, I felt, safe. Then another doctor walked in, and he said,"Umm (name), you have been in a bus accident, and have been diagnosed with (leg injury).". Dr. Shaun interrupted," I diagnosed that, therefore, I take credit.", and the other doctor rolled his eyes. "You have been injured, but you will recover from it soon, and you will not die.", the peculiar doctor reassured me. "You know, you're kind of weird!", I said without thinking. Dr. Murphy replied, "No, I have a condition called Autism, it impairs communication!". Did he just say Autism? Is that why he is that way? "Well, I have (condition/autism)...", I said. "That is very nice!", he said. He wasn't really making eye contact, and he sounded a bit monotone, and he was rocking back and forth.
I tried to redirect my focus to my boyfriend who was waiting for me. Then, my ringtone went off, which sounded of a chicken. "Uhhmmm, your phone's ringing, you must take it before 30 seconds, and it's really loud!", Dr. Murphy insisted. I took the phone from his hand, and when I picked up, I got a really nasty call from my boyfriend, saying how slow I was, and saying how he deserved the date. Then, Dr. Murphy interrupted, "He is very arrogant!". I was annoyed by what he said, but he was right! My boyfriend was self-centered, and he was a jerk. I immediately hung up on him. "I recommend a better partner to form a relationship with, he is not a good partner!", Dr. Murphy insisted. I was a super mad that I lost my first boyfriend, and I started to ask myself questions. I then looked up around the room, and then stared at Dr. Murphy for a while, wondering about him. I am strangely comforted and charmed by his presence.
