Part 20

Andy Pov

I woke up the next day with no clue what to wear. I texted Cam quickly and waited for him to reply. I decided to shower in the meantime. As I got out I heard my phone ring.

Cam: Wear anything that you don't mind getting dirty and wet

Andy: okay thank you. Can't wait for Lily to meet you!

Cam: I can't wait too! See you soon!!

I decide to wear capris legging and an old blue t shirt with my running shoes. I went downstairs and found Lily dress the same way as me making me a breakfast shake

"Good morning" I said as I grab the drink

"Good morning to you too. Are you ready to go?" She ask. She was driving me to the shelter today so Cameron didn't have to. I nod as we went into the car. We arrived to the shelter 30 minutes later. We walk inside and got a name badge. We easily spotted Cam with a millions of puppies surrounding him.

"Cameron, this is Lily. Lily, this is Cameron" I introduce Cam to Lily

"Hi, I'm Cameron. It's a pleasure to meet you" Cam said shaking Lily's hand

"Oh please the pleasure is mine, Cameron. Thanks for taking care of my girl while I was gone" Lily reply

"Well she is a handful" he laugh as she join in

"Hey! I'm standing right here plus we have a job to do" I state. They both nod as we went to our position. For the shelter, we were in charge of either playing with the dogs, bathing/grooming them, drying them, and helping them find a way to a new home. Lily got the easy part which was having future dog owner sign the papers and pay a fee. While Cam and I got stuck on cleaning up the dog poop.

"I'm sorry this isn't a date you imagine in any way" Cam said breaking the silence

"Me being able to help the community and spend time with you is better than any date ever" I said kissing him on the cheek

"I think I need one right here" Cam says making a duck face with his lips. I kiss him on lips as he continued saying "one more right here" between each until we were interrupted

"Sorry to interrupt but we need help on bathing the dogs. Can you guys help us out?" An older lady named Kelly ask. We both said yes as we followed her into a separate room. "Okay you two can start by wetting the dog then rubbing them well with soap then rinse. You can repeat if you feel they're still dirty but just make sure they get fully dry before going back into their homes. Okay?" She ask

"Yeah, we can handle it" Cam respond as she brought in an puppy. As we wash the puppy with soap it splash water and soap all over us. The good thing was we were getting small dogs so it was little sprinkles landing on us. That was until Kelly brought in an adult husky

"She's the last one guys. However, be careful as she has bitten past volunteers" Kelly said bringing her in

"This should be good" Cam laugh

"How hard can it be? I doubt she'll splash us. She's a grown woman" I said

"Oh you're in for a treat" he laugh. As we wash the dog, I was expecting it to bite or scare us. However, it was very gentle with us. It even allow me to kiss its forehead without biting my throat out

"You're not a bad girl. You're a good girl aren't you" I said to the dog as it lick my face

"She likes you" Cam said drying it's body

"Well, who doesn't. Isn't that right girl?" I ask as the dog continued licking my face. "I love you too. Yes I do bubba"

"Hey guys we're almost done. Would you guys mind taking the dog back inside" Kelly ask
