Confusion

.::Gumballs POV::.

I see Marshall run out of the school, not stopping even when the sunlight hits him, making him cry out in a screech of agony.

"Marshal! Wait!" I yell, taking off in a sprint after him. I don't know exactly what it was that made me go after him. But for some reason I felt.. Like I needed to.

He runs into the dark woods, said to be cursed by demons and haunted by the spirits of young murder victims. Not caring I ran into the woods, following close on his heels. "God. Bats are fast. Marshall!! Wait!!"

As if on cue to my voice he stopped, turning back into his vampire form and dropping to his knees, covering his face with his hands as he cried into them, "Why did it have to be Fionna.. I'm sorry.."

I walk over and place a hand on his head, making him jump in surprise. "Gumwad?.." He whimpered, "It's me Marshall." I said, crouching next to him.

He suddenly wrapped me in a tight hug, drying up his tears. "I don't know what to do... S-she probably hasn't forgiven me.. I-I don't think I c-can go back.." He says quietly.

Pulling away from him I dry his tears strolling down his face with my jacket sleeve, watching him slightly lean into the touch. "It'll be okay." I said, "I don't know what's happened. Or is going on. But I'll stay by your side okay?" I smile down at him.

He nods, smiling back, "Hey gumwad?" He asks, "Hm?" I hummed. He closed his eyes, then looked up at me, some of his hair blowing in his face as he did so, "would it be okay... If I maybe fell in love with you?..." He asked quietly.

Swallowing, slightly confused I flushed a small shade of red "I thought you were going to get me to fall in love with you?" I said sarcastically, giggling softly.

He let out a small laugh, and laid a hand softly on my face, "well who could resist your cute face? I'm hot but look at you, your adorable." He said, poking my nose, making me blush brighter.

"Shut up." I said softly. He giggles and pulled me closer to him by my chin, "Make me." He said, closing the distance between us with a short kiss.

My insides twisting in pain and pleasure. Confusion and lust running through my head, as I kissed him back.

He pulled away and smiled at me. "I'm not giving up on you my prince gumwad. I'll get you to fall in love with me, then I'll make you mine." I blushed harder, fiddling with my sleeves, "Well you'll have to try very hard to make me fall in love!" He laughed, ruffling my soft pink hair, "Don't worry. I don't think I'll have to try very hard."
