Tremaine

"Tremaine..." She said pulling away. "I missed you so much." She said hugging me.

"I missed you too baby girl." I said. "Now I think we need to see a counselor or something babe."

"Why a counselor?"

"I just feel we could resolve a lot if we do."

"I don't want somebody telling me what I'm doing wrong in our relationship. That's what I got you for." She said.

"But even I can't tell you what you're doing is right or wrong. That's why we need somebody from the outside looking in." I said.

"No Tremaine. This is something we can fix ourselves. I don't want no damn counselor telling me how to be in our relationship Tremaine. Being in our business. You know I hate when people are in my business." She said.

"I understand that babe, but just give it a try."

"Tremaine, can we not talk about this?" She asked. "I rather talk about this after the reunion."

"Reunion?" I questioned.

"Don't tell me you forgot my family reunion?" She said. I know answering this question would be a life or death situation. Kamani hates when an important date is forgotten. She like a human scheduler.

"Nah, I remember babe." I said as she sighed and mumbled something.

"Then you know we leave in two days?"

"Yeah." I said.

"Is everything packed?"

"Just about." I lied.

"Mmhm. Better not be lying Tremaine."

"I'm not babe. Chill." I hugged her. "I gotta go handle some things. I'll be back later." I said grabbing my jacket and keys.

*2 Days Later*

So here we are on our flight to Shreveport, Louisiana. I'm so excited to see my family. It's been a while and it excites me more that Tremaine is here with me.

"Baby, do you think I'll be able to relax this weekend without your family trying to attack me?"

"They're going to have to. Don't pay them any mind Tremaine. They'll get use to you after a few hours." I said. Hopefully. I got two little cousins that are in LOVE with Tremaine. They got every CD and poster of the man.

"Really?" He asked.

"Yeah." I replied. "Just watch out for my twin cousins, Jaslyn and Jasmin." I said.

"Trigga fans?" He questioned. I nodded. "This gonna be a long weekend." He sighed.

"Kamani!" My big brother Rashad smiled pulling me into a hug.

"Hey, Shad Shad." I hugged him back.

"What I tell you about that name?" He asked.

"Uhhhh." I looked back at Tremaine. "Rashad, this is Tremaine. Tremaine, this is my ugly brother Rashad." I said as Rashad eye balled me and then dapped and bro hugged Tremaine.

"Nice to meet you."

"Anytime. Never thought my sister would get with a successful guy. She's so independent." Rashad said.

"Too damn independent." Tramaine added.

"Well come on. Momma is waiting on you." Rashad said taking my bags.

"Guess who's here?!" Rashad called walking in to my Granny's house.

"Is that my baby?" The faint voice called. It was the woman who brought me up as my mother worked two jobs.

"Yes Granny, it's me." I smiled sitting down beside her with Tremaine next to me.

"And who is this fine young man next to you?" She asked.

"Granny, this is my boyfriend Tremaine." I said as I looked at the smile that came across his face. Family is everything to him, so I know that this moment is a nice one for him. I heard foot steps as I looked up to see my mother walking in the living room.

"I know you did not come up in here and not give me no love." Mother said looking at me and Tremaine.

"Hello Ms. Jones." Tremaine stood up to hug her.

"Ms?" She questioned. "Now Tremaine, we've known each other too long for that." She sais smiling.

"I'm sorry Mumma Diane." Tremaine said after giving her a hug.

"Remember that son." She said as she turned to me. "Hello my beautiful daughter." She smiled as we hugged.

"Hey mother." I smiled.

"I am so glad you two are here." She smiled putting her hands together.

"Wouldn't miss family time for anything Mumma Diane." Tremaine said. I love how he fits in so well.

"Chile, I'm tryin' to watch my shows! Get on out the way." Granny said to mother.

"Well you two gon ahead and settle in, dinner should be ready soon." Mother said walking back to the kitchen. Me and Tremaine headed up to the room we would be sleeping in while we were here. I love everything about this house. From the moments that I had with friends, the moments when I got hit by a switch.

"Ya fam making me miss mine." Tremaine said sitting on the bed.

"I missed them like crazy." I smiled to myself.

"I see. This the brightest I've seen you since the awards." Tremaine said. "Family always brings you out as a person."

"I guess. I just missed them." I shrugged. "What makes you happy Tremaine?" I asked.

"A lot of things." He said. "My Grumma, my Mumma, my family, you, the fans. I get happy bout y'all all the time. Cause at the end of the day, y'all always got my back, no matter what." He said.

"That's so sweet Tremaine." I smiled.

"You're more sweeter though." He said causing me to bust out laughing.

"Why do you gotta be so nasty?"

"We already know the answer to that." He said smirking.
