*Warning mentions on abuse panic attacks and cancer*
When I was only the age of 5 my mother was diagnosed with brain cancer and passed away. It made life hard. I had no mother figure most of my life and my father was barely ever home. One day he got so mad he slapped me, stopped, then kept doing it. He apologized and said he didn't know what got into him. I know what it was though. He always used to hit my mother and I always heard her screams. They are haunting. When I got into 2nd grade I always had bruises and Child Protective Services were called and my father was arrested. I was put into the foster system and I hated it. It was terrifying. One day I got adopted and the family said I was an angel, until I went to sleep. The family's son came to me and woke me up with a slap. I started having a panic attack and he didn't know what to do. He said I was broken and they didn't want a broken child. They put me back.
At the orphanage I wasn't popular, but everyone was nice to me. They all treated me with care, except the owner, Mrs. Smith. She hated me. She said I was here too long and if no one adopted me within 2 months she would throw me on the street. Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Naomi. I'm 9. I've been in the orphanage for 4 years that means. How is a 9 year old supposed to survive on her own? I'm not sure but I had to start learning.
Tomorrow's adoption day and my last day before I get kicked out. I really hope someone adopts me this time.

Hi everyone! This is my first book! I hope you have enjoyed it so far! I plan on posting every Monday Wednesday and Friday. I am only just starting so I am sorry if this is horrible or I miss a day. I will always make announcements if I will be taking a break or something but I'll try not too! Also any art/pictures I use is not mine as I can't draw hehe.
