Maria's POV
When I walked into the classroom, there were already three girls sitting at the front of the classroom. I decided I didn't want to bother them, seeing as they were having a heated conversation, so I sat all the way in the back of the classroom. "I'm telling you, Angie, Alex likes him!!" A girl wearing blue said to a girl wearing pink. "Well, you're wrong!! He told me he's straight. Right, Peg?" The girl wearing pink said to a girl wearing yellow "Well...." The Girl wearing yellow started to say but got interrupted by the girl wearing pink "Does no one agree with me?!?!" She yelled, which made me jump in shock and fear. I have heard yelling in my house but I never heard yelling this loud. All the girls looked at me and I looked down as they looked at me. "I'm sorry, did we scare you?" The Girl wearing pink said "Kinda....." I replied "Sorry" they all said "It's fine" I Said "I don't think we've ever seen you around..." The Girl wearing blue said "I have never seen you guys around" I said to them "My name is Elizabeth Schuyler, but everyone calls me Eliza, and these are my sisters Angelica and Peggy" Eliza said while pointing at each girl "My name is Maria. Maria Reynolds" I told them "Wait, are you related to James Reynolds?" Peggy asked "Yeah...we're twins" I said "Woah!" They all said at the same time. Even though James and I did that all the time, it freaked me out when they spoke at the same time. "You're lucky to have a brother" Eliza said "Aren't you happy to have sisters?" I asked "Well, sometimes. But we all are pains in the ass to each other" Peggy said "Well, I wish I had sisters. Having three brothers is no party. Especially when there IS a party..." I said, thinking back to the last time my family went to a party. I shuddered at the thought "Anyways, What do you plan to do?" Peggy asked "Plan to do what?" I asked, slightly confused on what she said. "I mean, what are you going to sign up or tryout for?" Peggy asked while laughing. "Huh. I actually don't know....." I said "Well, I'm going to tryout for cheerleading!" Eliza said, excitedly. "I'm going to sign up for an Endangered Animals club" Peggy said, looking like she was thinking. "Well, I'm already in the party committee" Angelica said "Wow. Those sound cool! But, I don't know what to choose..." I said. "How about we look after school?" Angelica asked. "Sure!" I said. We all continued talking before students started to come into the classroom.
~*~Flash forward: It's the end of the school day and Maria, Eliza, Peggy, and Angelica go to see the club rosters~*~
Still Maria's POV
"Wow, who knew college level Language Arts would be so hard" Eliza said as we were trying to look for the club rosters "I know right!" I said, remembering what we did today. After a few minutes, we found the club rosters and we all just ran up to the bulletin board that the rosters were hung up on. Eliza put her name down for cheerleading tryouts, Peggy signed up for an endangered animals club, and Angelica just stood there, waiting for her sisters to finish. Then there was me, having no idea on what to sign up for. Then there was a certain club that caught my attention. Debate club. I was very good a debating things since my father was a lawyer and he taught me how to debate and decide. That help me throughout my whole life since my brothers would always fight over something. "Hey Eliza, can I borrow your pen?" I asked. Eliza nodded and gave me her pen. "Thank you!" I Said "You're welcome!" Eliza said while smiling. I then put my name down for this club. "Debate club?" Angelica asked while laughing "Yeah! What's wrong with that?" I asked her. "It's just that there are not many girls that sign up for that and most of them don't even know what to do" Angelica said "Well, I have experience with debating, since my father taught me" I Said while giving the pen back to Eliza. "Well, Hopefully you represent our school very well, Maria!" Peggy said. I smiled "Hopefully...." I Said "Wait, did you guys pick up your keys?" Angelica asked us. Peggy, Eliza, and I shook our head no, knowing Angelica meant our dorm keys. "Well let's go get them!" Angelica said while leading us down the hallway. After a few minutes, we got our keys. "Well, see you guys tomorrow!" I Said "Bye, Maria!" They all said before heading to their own dorms. As they left, I started walking to my dorm, wondering who will be my roommate.
