He was going around his office building as usual, before he felt the vibration of his phone in his pocket. Checking it, he sees one clear message on his screen.

Hi, it's important...

He's intrigued. Opening the message, it reads:

Hi, it's important. You may not know me, but it's important. Please message me back when you get this.

The grave sound of it told him it definitely was important. He looks back at it and thinks, 'huh. I have nothing to lose, I guess.' and so he replies.

Yes?

The person on the other line gave an instant reply. It's the middle of the day, are they a loafer or something?

I'm sorry if I'm a bit too direct, but have you met your soulmate yet?

This turns his face sour. He didn't like the concept, and would just ignore it if his curiosity didn't over weigh the decision.

No, why?

Where's your soulmate tattoo?

How rude, he thought. To ignore the question. But even so, why ask?

Why?

Reasons.

Now that's not clearing anything up.

Fine, I saw you yesterday in the city streets right outside xxx building. I think you're my soulmate.

His heart stops. Slowly, his hands shake as he sends the message he typed out.

...I don't have a tattoo.

The cracking of a phone falling down in one of his offices is heard. He looks up at the window in front of him to see the woman he saw from the street yesterday, staring at him dead in the face.

Her.

Fin.
