Pan avoided Jack by sitting next to her guardian, a smug grin on her lips as Jack glared at her from across the room.
The Darby boy was too cautious of going near the wrench throwing medic. Which meant that until Ratchet left, Pan was as safe as she could be.
Until the medic left with Optimus and Pan had to come up with another plan before the male reached her.

"Optimus. Here. The source of the ancient frequency we detected," Ratchet said.
"An Iacon homing beacon," Optimus said thoughtfully.
"What's an autobot locator doing on that?" Arcee asked, you were able to hear the traces of fear in her voice.
"The Class-A Decepticon weapons confiscated during the war were sealed within the vaults below Iacon," Optimus said.
"Where you once worked as an archivist?"
"Iacon was both a cultural center and a stronghold which Megatron raided when autobot troops were at their nadir," Optimus nodded, "It stands to reason that in anticipation of Iacon being overrun by enemy forces, these weapons were jettisoned off-world to keep them far from decepticon reach."
"Clearly, the beacon was added as a safety measure should the one's going in our vault," Ratchet added.
Arcee looked at the Prime, "Do you think this is the only intel you supplied to Megatron?"
Optimus's optics became pained for a second, "Arcee, you are right to ask, and I am afraid I do not remember," he said hesitantly.
Pan frowned, "Poor Optimus," she muttered.
"What's done is done, we cannot rewrite the past," Vector said wisely.
Pan nodded.
"Optimus," Ratchet said, "Megatron clearly took advantage of your amnesia, but for all we know, this spark extractor is the extent of it. Have you stopped to consider that he might have suggested otherwise merely to plague your thoughts?"
