•The Chemistry Test

Erica yawned as she settled into bed with her cup of coffee. She placed the script in front of her as she sipped her coffee. "Kausatii Zindagi Kay" it read in bold letters. 

Erica knew that this is a big opportunity and can be a good breakthrough in television world but she was also afraid. What if she won't be able to pull it off? The career that she had kick started with immense effort would come to halt. This project is going to be a big deal and she has to take a thought through decision. 

She sighed to herself as she flipped the page revealing the script. She read through the page and continued reading as she slowly got engrossed into the story. As a child she remembered joining her parents on the couch while they watched the original series. 

A small smile played on her lips as she continued reading the script. With every page she read her clouded mind cleared. She felt butterflies in her stomach as her instinct told her that saying yes to this project will change a lot of things. An unknown excitement and anxiety took over her as she knew what her decision would be regarding Ekta's offer. She kept the cup of coffee as she pulled out her phone and typed a message. 

She the switched of her bedside lamp and drifted off into a deep slumber. 

On the other hand Ekta stepped out of a last minute important meeting with the team of Kasauti. Her staff was all working day and night to make this project a reality. Her star cast was also almost finalised. She was only waiting for confirmation on who will play Prerna and Anurag. 

Ekta sat into her car. When her phone beeped drawing her attention, the screen flashed Erica's name as Ekta's heartbeats got faster and wilder. She opened the message as her lips curved into a bright smile. It was a yes! The message read " It is a yes from me, see you tomorrow" Ekta immediately confirmed the place and time as she happily drove off.

The next day Erica was introduced to the team and had a small breifing as to how they want to proceed. Who should portray Anurag's character was yet to be finalised. A few people had accepted the offer and were coming for auditions in the afternoon where their chemistry with Erica would be tested. 

Ekta already had her favourite in her mind but she wanted to wait as she wanted to see if there will be any chemistry between her top choices. 

Soon enough all the shortlisted actors for Anurag filed in as they greeted Ekta, she briefed them about the chemistry test.

It was almost 6:30 the audition was going on from the past 6 hours. All of her top choices didn't really seemed good enough to portray the iconic role of 'Anurag Basu' ekta was dead tired and had almost given up all hopes she was sitting in her office. Engrossed in her thoughts when vikas came in with a cup of coffee "None of them were good enough"
