"I thought you would be excited about Sam moving in...?" Jake says.

"Yeah well honestly I though that too." Zoey replies. She was sitting down beside Jake. Her head resting on his legs. He was rubbing her back. They were in Jakes room. It had been almost a week sense Sam told her the surprise. She was moving in tomorrow.

"I know what would take your mind off it" Jake smiled wickedly.

"Or not," Zoey said, "I have a headache and that doesn't sound fun."

"We... Could always go to the lake...?" Jake compromises.

"Too cold."

"Oh well, frankly I don't give a crap. Stand up and go put your swim suit on." Jake tells her.

"Jake I-

Jake cuts her off, "Now Zo."

"Fine." Zoey stands up and walks to the bathroom. She puts on her black laced bikini and puts her hair in a messy bun. She wrapped herself in a fluffy black towel and walks out.

"Hope you're happy." Zoey tells Jake.

"Oh I am."

Jake walks into the bathroom, changing, leaving Zoey standing there.

As they walk outside to the lake, she gets butterfly's. But she does every time they walk to the lake. It brings back so many memories.

Once the lakes in sight Jake chuckles, he grabs Zoey and picks her up, running to the lake and throws her in, as soon as she reaches the surface he jumps in after her. Creating a big splash.

**** 2hrs later ****

"I think it's time to go inside now, it's getting darker." Zoey said.

"Yeah probably." Jake looked up at the sky,"And it looks like it's about to rain. "

They got out and Zoey put on the swimsuit cover she brought outside. It was one of her favorites. It was black but see through, with small pearls along the top. It went 3in over her knees, and was strapless.

"Haha, I probably look terrible." Zoey said standing up.

"You look fabulous." He winks at her, bowing, grabs her hand, and kissed it. "Your majesty? May I have this dance?"

"Why of course my kind sir" Zoey said giggly.

She placed her left hand on his shoulder, and her right one in his hand. With his left hand he held hers, and with his right he slipped it around her waste.

They started the dance slowly, less complicated, a beginners dance. The dance you might see at prom. A simple dance where you almost walk in circles.

As she was dancing she noticed that The lake was a beautiful sight. The moon was shining bright, the trees swaying slightly to the wind, matching their rhythm. The sky, dark, and the stars gleaming along side the fireflies. There was no music for them to dance to but the crickets, the croaks from the frogs, and the quacks of the ducks. And yet, everything seemed to be perfectly harmonized.

She closed her eyes, embracing the moment. When she looked at him his face expression was blank, but she could see it in his eyes. He was enjoying this moment as much as she was.

They danced in the dewy grass. Feeling it slip between their toes. She could feel her heart racing, their dancing moving faster and faster, more intense and advanced as they went, she was everywhere all at once, breathing heavily. She was spinning one moment and in the air the next.

He spun her around for the last time and stopped her sharply, closely together as if they couldn't be separated. Both of them breathing heavily. He let go, stepping away, and turned to leave, walking back to the hotel leaving her there, without another word or another glance.

Zoey just stood there. Soaking in the moment. Still breathing heavily. She looked around, trying to grasp the moment. It was like a perfect dream, a dream he always walked away from it.

"Zoey....?" Mark comes up behind her.

"Yeah mark....? Is everything okay..?"

"Why wouldn't it be..." Zoey said in concern.

"Well when Jake stomped in and slammed the door, I got scared something bad happened... I thought he hit you again Zo." Mark said.

"Oh... No, No I'm so sorry Mark, no it wasn't like that... He danced with me, it was great!" Zoey sighs, "I wish he was always like that."

"I know, but it's getting cold and you're soaking wet, let's go inside okay?"

"Yeah, you're right." Zoey replied.

"And I don't want Jake to grow impatient."

"I don't know why Sam wants to move in, she's not gonna know how to handle the yelling, and the stress of school makes him worse. She's insane."

Zoey and Mark walk to the door, and Mark stops to give Zoey a hug.

"I won't let him hurt you..." Mark said with his eyes to the ground.

"I know you mean well Mark, but we both know no one can stop him."

"I know.... I know Zoey. But can't I at least pretend I can stop it!"
