"normal, lieutenant" dave the bar keeper asked with a small smile. "yes thanks dave" riza said with a small smile and sat at the edge of the bar with black hayate sitting under her stall. "you still come here every Saturday, I thought you give up by now" an old man said with a small smile as she sat at a table by the window. "as long as I dont give up, their will always be hope" riza said with a small happy smile and the old man smiled. "sometimes if your waiting for to long, you miss the next part of your life" the old man said with a kind smile. "if skipping part of my life means I get to see him once more, then I wait a little longer" riza said with a bight smile making all the regulars smile at her.
"here you go lieutenant and a little snack for black hayate" dave smiled as he gave riza her drink and black hayate a dog treat stick. "thanks dave, about last Saturday" riza started to ask with a hopeful smile but dave stopped her. "no Stanger came in asking about you or someone who looks like you, I'm sorry" dave said with a frown since he knows riza was still waiting for a broken promise to come true. "sorry to bug you every Saturday and even the ones when I'm busy working" riza said with a small frown. "dont be, we all have a certain love that we can never forget and you never know he might make it here one Saturday" dave smiled and patted riza head and the pub door opened making everyone turn and riza have eyes full of hope.
"sorry, is it ok if I drink here" mustang asked with a little worried since everyone was staring at him. "Roy" riza whispered but shook her head after notching it wasn't the same man she was looking for. "dont tell me that the man who been keeping you waiting" the old man said with worry. "no that my major, I mistook him for someone" riza said with a small smile. "well dont worry lieutenant, he come for you one day" dave smiled and waved mustang over.
"oh lieutenant Hawkeye, I didnt think I find you in a place like this" mustang said a little shocked as he sat on the stall next to riza. "oh really, how come" riza asked with a smirk. "well you looked like the type to drink at home not in a pub for gangs" mustang smirked. "well we all have a wild side, sir" riza smiled. "well I wont tell if you dont" mustang winked and grinned making riza laugh a little. "wow are you sure he not the man, I never seen someone make you laugh so easy" the old man smirked. "shut it" riza said embarrassed and the old man just laughed. "here your drink handsome" dave smiled and passed mustang his drink. "thanks, so do you come here often" mustang asked with a small smile. "she comes here every Saturday waiting for the love of her life and when she stuck working on some Saturdays she makes me keep an ear out for someone looking for her" dave smirked and riza glared at him. "love of your life, seems a little cold to keep you waiting" mustang said with worry. "I dont mind waiting, if I get to see him once more" riza said with a small smile.
"lieutenant, how about a game of darts" one huge man with tattoos all over his arms yelled with a grin. "dont cry when I win" riza sighed and walked over leaving mustang and black hayate at the bar. "how long has the lieutenant been waiting in this bar" mustang asked since riza couldn't hear. "she was a apart of the old war and her lover was another soldier, they promised to come to this bar after the war no matter what but it seemed his died during the last battle" dave said with a frown. "died, dose she know" mustang said with worry. "she saw him die, she woke up and tried to find his body but never did" dave said with a frown. "since other soldiers pulled her away for safety, she comes here nearly every Saturday waiting for him to keep their promise but its been four years already" the old man said with a frown. "but isn't that a waste, she knows he dead then why wait" mustang said with a sadden frown. "because they never found his body, so he could be alive somewhere but high chance he dead, she just holding onto the little hope since he was all she had" dave said with a frown.
"how do you know all this" mustang asked. "well their first date was at my bar since it was pouring down with rain and they came to hid in here, since then they came here often during breaks at the start of the war but when the war got worse I never saw them not until six months after the war when she came in alone, a friend of us told us what happened during the last battle and riko told us the rest" dave said with a frown. "its kinda sad but I guess everyone lost something to the war" mustang said with a sad smile. "she lost more then most" the old man said with a frown.
