I kept turning and tossing in my bed. I don't know if to say I was scared or anxious but then I really didn't know what I was feeling at the moment . I haven't been able to catch any sleep throughout the night no matter how hard I tried. Sometimes I would close my eyes shut for sometime but sleep would still not come to take me away. Hugh.
I picked my phone and went on playlist...if you haven't guessed yet I'm a music lover hehe. I began playing some music hoping it would make me fall asleep and somehow someway, it worked.
I woke up to the annoying sound of my ringtone. Well I always thought it was nice but not today. Not when it was interrupting my beauty sleep. I made a grumpy noise and used the pillow over my head so I wouldntbhave to hear any noise but whoever was calling couldn't just call back. Angrily, I picked my phone not bothering to check who it was I was ready to speak some sense into that humans head. Ha.
"Really who calls at dawn to disturb others beauty sleep???...can't you get some sleep yourself??"
I was about hanging up when the sleep disturber spoke "Nattie my god you're still asleep? Wake up its 8am we need to leave already am almost at your house. Lazy lazy lazy girl.wake up before I get there"
"What?..wait..Emma? Oh gaad, I'm still asleep?oh Kay I'm up". I checked the time on my phone and it was 7:45 typical Emma I sighed but hurriedly got out of bed ... And that my friends was my best friend Emma yeah just Emma not Emmanuella, or Emmalyn just Emma.
I quickly went to the bathroom and did my morning stuffs then picked up a dress to put on. It was a skinny jeans and a light blue tank top and I finished it up with my black Jordans ..I looked around the room I have grown to love so much and sighed it looked so empty now.Yeah I packed all my clothing's and every other thing I thought I'd need. So my room's empty expect for a few books lying aimlessly on the shelf and my bed.
I looked at my luggage. I was happy I was leaving for uni but I was sad too. I'd miss home and being pampered and all.
" Hey Kay you ready?" My twin brother Nat asked. I made a face at him and nodded
"Okay so leave the room,mommy wants you down stairs now" he said and left
"Won't you even help me with my stuffs?" I yelled after him
"No. You've got hands". He yelled back
Really?.like what kinda brother does that? I sighed and lazily walked towards my heavy luggage. I trued lifting it up but it wouldn't even budge it was too heavy "I'd help" I heard a little voice actually the sweetest voice say
"Sure" I skilled at my 7years old brother "you hold my bag and I'd drag my luggage okay?"
"Okkayy" my hyper active brother raced across my large room to go for my bag and then raced out of the room and down the stairs "I got it" he screamed
"Don't run on the stairs Danny"./but he was long gone ...I just smiled and focused on dragging that huge suitcase.
I got downstairs and my family and of course Emma was gathered .My mom seemed to be in a deep conversation with my brother and Emma who looked bored to death. I let out a silent laugh mocking her.. I made myself comfortable on the couch munching on some bread I saw on the dining table
" Nattie are all your stuffs down?" My dad asked taking a seat beside me.
"Yes..even though I had to drag them myself.Nat wouldn't help me. I complained
" Oh you know that boy.don't mind him yeah?"
"Su...."
"Daddy carry me" Danny cane up to us cutting me short. My dad balanced him on his tigh and he grinned happily at me.
"Oh Nattie my dear you're here" mom came up to me pulling me into a tight hug "I'm going to miss you soon much".
I loved my mom but I hated when she became emotional it makes me so uncomfortable " everything I spoke to you about yesterday evening please don't take it lightly go out there and make me proud, focus on your education" And on and on she went oh yeah she was still hugging me....My eyes roamed the living room and landed on Nat and Emma busily laughing at me... I rolled my eyes at them.
"I know the good lord would surely send you and bring you back to me safely take good care of yourself and....."
"Mom we would come home to visit you every once in a while okay just release her" Nat spoke rescuing me. She let go off me and smiled both Nat and I
"Okay let's get going. Its going to be a long ride. Enough with the emotional drama" dad said.
Everyone scattered and started putting their stuffs into the trunk of my daddy's pick up...after about 10mins of hard labour, we were done.
I turned to my mom and Danny and I gave them a long bone crushing hug "id miss you guys soon much. I would make sure to come visit once in a while" I said to them
"Please take care of yourself my girl" my mom said.
I nodded and withdrew from the hug. Giving Nat chance to also have a moment with them, I turned to the annoying girl who calls herself my best friend don't get me wrong I love her she just so annoying sometimes I want to disown her. But I can't cause I love het
"I'm sitting by the window" she shouts and jumps into the car.....wait what?
"Wait what?" I know right I said the first one in my head "that where I always sit" I barked at her
"Huh?. Whew you even speaking girl no ones name is on the seat I got in first and I seat where I like deal with that" she said and chuckled.
"Are you coming or what? You'd seat by the window anyway" Pii said from the front "get in"
"Are you coming or what?" She says innocently like she knows no sin.
I noisly jumped into the car and sat by her. "Remind me again why you're my best friend"
"Well because you love me so much"
"Yeah right" I smiled at her "you're lucky I love you I would have squeezed you to death".
