I'm sorry its been a while since I updated. Work has kept me busy. I can't wait to be done with internship...
So next chapter...I thought of this song whiles writing.. Tied up by Mr Eazi. You should listen.............
I woke up the following day with severe headache. I tried turning but my body came into contact with another.
"Jo? You're here early"
"No actually I'm done for the day, its 11am. I closed at 10. And I came here" he said flashing me another smile. Wait did he say its 11am?
"Wait what did you say the time is again?"
"11am"
"Oh my God. No. Oh my god No!" I sat up.tears began to well up in my eyes "you're scaring me Talia"
"I missed class we were supposed to have a test this morning" I put my face in my palm and began to cry freely "I learnt so long for this test only for me to miss it" I sobbed "my life is so fucked up"
He pulled me into a hug and patted my back in a very awkward way "hey it's alright"
"I don't wanna fail" I cried into his shirt
"Its alright" he said softly pulling me even closer to him. I didn't mind at all he has a nice smell
"My head" my cries became quiet "it hurts"
"Oh" he gently pulled away and grabbed medicine from his trouser pocket and handed them to me together with a bottle of water "it's Tylenol. Take it and you'd be fine"
I smiled at him wondering why he'd keep Tylenol with him, I shrugged and pushed the thought away and took the medicine and handed the bottle water back to him "are you always this nice?" I asked
"Urm. No" he simply answered. I waited if he'd explain but it was clear he wasn't going to .
"Oh. I see"
"You should get some sleep" he said but I shook my head
"I'm tired of sleeping I already slept too much" I replied "Thanks for the care"
"Hey Kay" my brother bugged into my room. And I froze. Jo stood up. "You again?" He said clearly surprised. I could see anger and hatred in his eyes.
"Relax man, I was about leaving" Jo said and turned to me "get well soon yeah?"
I nodded with an apologetic smile and with that he left the room.
"What the hell was that? I told you to stay away from him he's evil" he said throwing his arms up and down
"I don't want to talk about it now" I groaned and relaxed against the wall.
"Are you I'll?" My brother asked in a soft voice and touched my forehead "have you been crying? You have a temperature"
I smiled a weak smile "I'd be fine Pii"
"I wanted to tell you something, but I'd tell you later when you're fine".
Okay but can you get me food? I'm hungry"
"Sure I'd place an order" he took his phone out and typed on it "done" he smiled and dropped the phone on the table across us
"Ugh. I'm so exhausted my heart feels heavy. I felt so humiliated yesterday" I was searching my hair like some old witch " I wasn't to go home Pii" a tear dropped on my cheeks
My brother looked on helplessly. "We've only been here for a month. Should I call home?" He asked and I nodded.
He stretched for his phone on the table and face timed our parents. "My babies" my mom squealed in joy when her face appeared on the phone "honey its the kids" she yelled to my dad who was probably in the bathroom and turned to us. Then she frowned.
"What's wrong with you Nattie?" My mom asked fear and concern in her voice. I didn't answer. This was a bad idea. I looked at my brother for help. He nodded getting my message.
"Mummy you see Nattie,........"
"My fav. Twins in the world" my dad's showed on the phone cutting Nat short. I sighed in relief I didn't want to get my parents worried especially mom. I tried to put on a smiley face
"Hello daddy" I waved at him and he waved back. I didn't miss my moms intent stare on me
"What's wrong with you Nattie? Have you been crying?" My dad asked.
Nat and j exchanged looks. "Let's just hang up" he whispered"Yeah. It was a bad idea calling them in the first place". I agreed and then we hang up on them ignoring their questions. Just at a knock came on the door
" its the food. I'd get it" he stood up and walked to the door.
