(ZEE POV)

"Today, today is a solemn day. For two, incredible people, have passed on to a better life, Mr. And Mrs. Jake and Harper Valentine, loving parents, friends, and family. We will miss them greatly. And hopefully, they are watching down on us at this very moment. Thank you."

The funeral for Mom and Dad lasted an hour or two, everyone was, for the most part, silent, and others didn't seem to care and were busy talking to relatives or friends who tagged along. Some didn't know them, others didn't care. But most didn't know what they did. We were rich because of our popularity. People just handed us money like we were... A savior or something. But we were far from it.

Mom and Dad taught us how to hunt, not the "taking an animal's life and selling it or eating it" kind. But the kind that hunts supernatural creatures, and it's hard work. Some never come out of it alive. Some do it for life.

Before they were killed by a demon called Azazel, they told us we weren't the only hunters, and to watch out cause you never know who'll betray you next. They told Alice and me to always be there for each other. And we will.

Alice and I drove and the whole way up there we were both silent. We were never close as kids. I may have been older, but she was spoiled more, and I may have been dad's favorite, but all I wanted was a healthy, happy family. I was driving, and Alice just stared out the window, earbuds in and listening to god knows what.

"Alice?"

She unplugged one earbud to listen but didn't look at me.

"Hey... Look, I know we weren't close as kids, but I wanna change that. Mom and Dad told us to look out for each other. So expect me to, okay?"

She smiled and nodded, and I smiled.

"What do you say we go get some take out. How bout McDonald's?"

She chuckled. "No, god no. Anything but that."

We both laughed, then just went to a gas station to get food, gas, drinks, ect.

I was walking down an aisle when some guy bumped into me, making me fall down and drop my stuff, including Alice and I's food.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry!"

A man with short, blonde hair and green eyes helped me up, and clean up.

"Thanks. And don't worry about the food, I'll just get more."

I smiled, then walked back over, grabbing the tongs used to grab the hot dogs. As I was grabbing some, I felt a hand touch mine and I sighed.

"You aren't gonna give up are you?"

I smiled leaning against the counter. He shrugged.

"Nah."

With a sigh, I gave up first.

"I'm... Zeeriana. But... my friends call me Zee."

"Well, Zee. I'm Dean."

I laughed. "I didn't say we were friends, Dean."

"Sounded like it to me."

Dean and I walked to the counter, and he offered to pay for me, we walked outside and I met him at his car, seemingly an impala.

"So. Take it you aren't from here?"

He asked, and I nodded.

"Yeah. My sister and I are from Oklahoma. Odd huh?"

He shook his head.

"Not really no. What're you doing out here anyway?"

I knew people normally wouldn't believe me, but there was something different about Dean. I'd always get these vibes, even as a kid. Where I could sense feelings of ill-intention or goodwill. Or even those gut feelings of there being other hunters around too, almost like reading auras. But it was nothing like that, nor as crazy. Call them superstitions if you will.  And I told him.
