Gone. That's what they call it right? When someone you cherished and loved goes somewhere no one expected. Or maybe they did expect it. You only hope they will come back one day, but they don't. They just disappear, never to be found again. Some people are missing for years and years and when they are found it's usually too late. The person is already dead and all that hope they have slowly disappears into the air. I hope my friend isn't gone. Everyone is speculating the existence of her though. She's been missing for 7 months and it's all too hard to wrap around my head.

I close my eyes to reminisce how life was like with her. All I can remember is this time we went to the ice cream shop. She was wearing her favorite outfit. Butterfly tank top, leggings, and her big white shoes. She even had butterfly clips in her hair. She looked beautiful. Anyway these boys saw us(well they saw Emma). Emma being her bold self went straight up to them, of course she convinced me to go up and talk to the boys as well. It didn't matter though the boys didn't really notice me. They stared at Emma like she was the best thing they ever saw and when she started talking it was like no one else was around. I stood there talking as well but they didn't care a lick about what I said. They heard every word Emma said and they really listened. I mean she just always had that special power to make boys love her. It's not her fault. She was just so easy to love. I miss that, and to be honest it's driving me insane.

" honey". My mom screamed out.

" yes mom" I said, she started to creep into my room, and I could tell she had something on her mind.

" the police need to borrow your phone for a minute" she started to extend her arm and I handed it to her. I really didn't want to though but what insane person would argue with their mother.

" why are they even here?" I ask.

She looks at me and I can tell she hardly knows why either. She doesn't like being treated like this as much as I do. I got out of bed and with mom right behind me. I was just about to reach the door when—-

"Where do you think you're going, young lady?!" My mother yelled.

"I'm going over to Aiden's mother, don't worry" I began to walk out the door but my mother stopped me once again.

She put her soft, gentle hand on my shoulder and said something to me that I will remember for a while. "Draya , don't do anything stupid, you hear"

I sarcastically smiled at my mother. "Oh mother, how could I do any wrong, look at me I'm perfect," my mother started to smile at my remark, but you could see she was struggling to hide it.

"Mhm, you wish" my mother snickered. "Tell Jennifer hello for me"

"I will," I say, Then she finally lets me leave the house. As I walked across the street, I could see Aidan's little sister, she had grown a lot since I last saw her. Still looks just like her brother, red headed little kid with a little sweetness only difference is the fact she's a girl. She saw me from a distance and waved at me. She seemed so happy to see me, as if she was waiting for me to come over. I haven't seen Aidan or his family since Emma went missing. It's even worse that I know I've been a bad friend. I guess the last time I saw him was when the police came to his door to tell him what had happened to, well you know.

"Hey pumpkin" I say while I rub Ella's head. She giggles and she smiles at me with her 2 front teeth missing . It was so cute. "where's your brother?" I ask.
