The next time I saw David, was at a party at a friends house. As soon as he arrived to the party I wanted to leave but good old Ava obviously wouldn't let me, so I just sat there pretending not to notice him. He walked across the big living room that was filled with people but he still caught me hiding behind a group of people. As soon as he saw me, he started walking in my direction. I slowly backed away into the kitchen, hoping he wouldn't follow me, but he did.

,,Hey" He said as he came up to me.
,,Hey" I replied back.

,,I didn't expect to see you here..." he tried starting a conversation with me.

,,I'm about to head home, nice to see you!" I said shortly without making eye contact.

,,Oh! You're leaving? Can I take you home?" He offered, sad about the fact that I wanted to go.
,,No. I'll take an Uber."  The words came out really harsh.

,,Please y/n, I insist."

I agreed, not wanting to make a scene at my friends house. I said goodbye to Ava, who was very amused by the fact that I would let David, of all people, bring me home. I gave her a glare.

I got in David's Tesla and put my seatbelt on, he got  in the drivers seat next to me and started backing out of the driveway.

The car ride was quiet, neither of us had said anything, the only thing that could be heard, was the radio playing silently in the background.
I leaned my head against the window, watching the city by night as we drove.

In the reflection of  the window i could see David glancing at me occasionally. He sighed.

,,You're not gonna talk to me are you?" David asked quietly, his eyes now back at me.

,,I don't have anything to say" I answered almost whispering, still looking out of the window.

,,Can you at least look at me?" He pleaded.
I turned my head to face him.
He had a pleading look in his eyes, wich almost made me jump over and hug him, he looked sad.
