Chapter One

Kate's POV

"Where am I?" I woke up in a room. A hospital room, I guess. I saw my mom beside my bed, holding my hand while crying.

"Ma, what happened?"

"Nakalimutan mo na ba, you and Xander..." Then, I remembered... Xander!

"Where's Xander?!" I asked.

"Baby, he's in the ICU. He's still under observation. Di pa rin siya nagigising."

"I wanna see him." I said calmly.

"Baby, you can't. Hindi pa pwede."

"No! I wanna see Xander! I wanna see my husband!" I burst out in anger. I can't contain this anymore.

"Anak, please understand. You want to see him, right? You can baby, but not now."

"NO! I wanna see him now!" I removed the tubes connected to me, the oxygen masks, everything. Then, I started to stand up. I tried my best to walk, but I failed. I stumbled to the floor.

"Anak, calm down. Everything's going to be fine." Mom said while trying to help me stand.

I didn't listen. How can everything be fine?! My husband's life is in danger for God's sake! I stand up in my own then tried to walk, and again, I failed, then failed, then failed. I end up, stumbled on the floor.

"Aaahckkk!" I pulled my hair in frustration.

"Ma, please. I wanna see my husband, please." I held my mom's hand while pleading.

"Fine, but we can't get inside so we'll just watch him okay?" I nodded.

My mom helped me stand then guided me back to my bed. She called the nurse to bring a wheelchair. When the nurse arrived, she and my mom carried me onto it.

My mom and I headed to the ICU. Hindi kami nakapasok pero may isang glass window na pwedeng pagsilipan.

I cried hard when I saw Xander. Kung marami ang tubes na nakakonekta sakin, mas marami sa kanya. I cried and cried until my vision went blur. Then, I remember what happened...

flashback...

"San ba kasi tayo pupunta?" I asked Xander. Pinasakay niya kasi ako sa kotse at sinabing may pupuntahan kami. I don't know where.

"Basta, pag sasabihin ko sayo, edi di na surprise." sagot nito.

"Pfft. Okay. Bahala ka." Natatawang sabi ko. May pa surprise pang nalalaman tong asawa ko eh ^____^

"Pinagtatawan moko eh." Nakanguso pang sabi nito.

"Hindi ah. Pfft."

"Oo eh."

"Sige, di na po. I love you baby." I kissed him sa cheeks.

"Sige na nga! I love you too!" Padabog pang sabi nito. Ang cute.

"Yie. Haha. Sige na, magdrive ka na, baka mabangga pa tayo niyan." Biro ko.

"Wag ka ngang magbiro ng ganyan."

"Joke nga lang"

"Eh bakit hindi ako natawa?" Nakangising sabi nito. Binatukan ko naman siya.

"Che. Haha" Nagtatawanan kami ng biglang tumunog ang phone ko. Nagtext pala si Kit.

"Sino yan?" Xander asked.

"A-ahh, wala! Just some friend."

"Ah. Okay." Mahinahong sabi nito.

Di ko alam pero parang nawala sa focus niya si Xander. He seemed distracted. Mabilis ang pagpapatakbo niya sa kotse. I tried to tell him to slow down..

"Xander! Slow down! A truck is coming!"

But it was too late..

*BLAAAAG!*

Then, everything went black...

end of flashback...

"Bumalik na tayo anak?" Mom asked. I nodded. I can't stand to see my husband like this. All I know is I'm hurt, so much.
