Amelia and Drew met up in their usual spot, behind the Science classroom. Apparently if you were caught kissing someone at school, you could get suspended. So Amelia and Drew never took any chances.
They greeted with a hug, which eventually turned into a long and passionate kiss.
"Mmmm, I missed you so much," Drew said as their kiss came to an end.
Amelia didn't say anything and just nodded as she treasured the moment.
Drew put his hand into his pant pocket and pulled out a pink box with a silver ribbon tied around it. Amelia smiled with anticipation.
"I -," Drew began saying, but Amelia put her finger to his lips to shush him. She kissed him once more and took the box from his hand.
Drew held her closely, his hot and comforting breath relaxing Amelia as she pulled at the ribbon. His hand was pressed against her back and his strong arm took her weight easily.
Drew had dark brown hair that had the slightest curl. His face was rectangular in shape and his jawline was striking. He was taller than Amelia and his body was average size, but extremely muscly. Drew wore three quarter maroon pants and an un-buttoned shirt over a simple white one.
His personality was similar to Amelia's. He was kind and approachable, but strict when he needed to be. Amelia sometimes saw his goofy side, but he said that was only because of her. Sometimes Drew could have trouble understanding any other person's feelings except his. But all in all, he was the perfect boyfriend.
Amelia pulled the lid off the pink box and looked in side. She half gasped half sighed when she saw a beautiful Pandora bracelet with three charms. One was a A, for Amelia. In the centre was a heart, and on the other side was a D, for Drew.
"Oh Drew! This is beautiful! It must of cost you a fortune," Amelia said in a whisper to him, her nose touching his. She knew that his family had troubles with money since his father left, and the only chance of him going to college would be a scholarship.
Drew squeezed Amelia and said, "I'd been saving since the beginning of the year."
Drew and Amelia kissed until the bell for the end of lunch sounded.
"My mum is going away for the weekend. Do you wanna come to my house on Saturday," Drew asked.
Amelia nodded, then quickly hugged Drew goodbye and ran to her locker room, not wanting to be late. Drew watched her go, almost in amazement of how wonderful his girlfriend was, and walked back to his locker room.

The first week of semester two went by quickly, without any new developments. Amelia wore her new bracelet all the time and met up with Drew every lunch hour behind the Science classroom. Saturday was drawing nearer and Amelia was bursting with excitement.
"So what do you think's gonna happen tomorrow?" Evie asked as she and Amelia walked to French on Friday, the only subject they had together. "Do you think your gonna.... you know..." Evie giggled.
"No! No way looser! Him and I agreed that's never gonna happen. Well not yet anyway," said Amelia with a small sigh. "I don't know what's gonna happen, we'll probably just talk, watch movies and all that stuff."
Evie rolled her eyes and grinned at Amelia. "Hey, do you think Drew could drive Isaac and I to the Ed Sheeran concert on Sunday? It sucks that Isaac can't bloody drive a car!"
"I'm pretty sure that'd be okay with him."
The rest of the day was a blur in Amelia's head. She was just so excited about Saturday.

Ding dong!
The bell to Drew's house went and as if he'd been waiting for Amelia to arrive, the door opened immediately.
"Welcome to my humble abode!" Drew said in a British accent as Amelia stepped through the door.
Drew's house was small but welcoming. It had high ceilings with a few wooden beams running across the roof. It only had two bedrooms, one for Drew's mum and another that Drew and his older brother Winston used to share, until Winston moved out. It had one lounge room with an old, musty green and yellow couch and a TV that looked like it was from the 90's. Drew and his mum had to share a small bathroom that had extremely ugly orange and pink tiles that covered the room bottom to top. Amelia always felt at home in the house, even though it was probably the ugliest one she'd ever seen.
Drew led Amelia into his room where they sat down and started kissing. A long time passed, the moment never becoming awkward. Amelia had arrived at noon, so soon enough it was dinner time. They ordered pizza and in the meantime stuffed their faces with Winston's secret stash of lollies that Drew had discovered after he left. Once the pizza arrived, they played monopoly while eating it, then got bored and decided to play twister.
Once Amelia had absolutely flogged Drew she asked, "What movie should we watch?"
"I'm guessing you want to watch a soggy girly one?" Drew said with a goofy grin.
They ended up watching the Notebook, and right at the end Amelia cried her heart out. Drew held her close under the blanket and rubbed her leg to comfort her. Then they kissed.
Amelia checked the time. It was 11:00pm.
They decided to go to Drew's room and talk.
They talked for what only seemed like minutes, but once Amelia checked the time it was 2:30.
"Whoa! We better go to bed. You need to drive Evie and Isaac to that concert tomorrow, remember," Amelia said to Drew as she walked back into his room and got under the covers of his bed.
There bodies were pressed against eachother, Drew's hands wrapped around Amelia. She felt his chest rising and falling as he breathed. He smelt like a mixture of sweat and lemons. The smell made Amelia feel so warm inside.
"Fine," he said. "One last kiss."
Drew and Amelia kissed and cuddled under the covers until they were both almost asleep.
"Goodnight Amelia."
"Goodnight Drew."
And just as Amelia drifted off to sleep, she heard Drew say for the first time, "I love you."
