Michelle was in a period of pregnancy that was lovingly referred to as the "Honeymoon Phase". Her symptoms were no longer the violent morning sickness that was basically the entire first trimester. But while they were all in all a bit less intense as a whole, they were still a nuisance.

As the weeks passed, Michelle got even bigger than she was. Jeans and others such materials had been out of the picture for a while, and she was almost exclusively wearing giant sweaters and t-shirts.

Flash was hosting his yearly Halloween bash at his place, even though it was on a Monday. He had (albeit begrudgingly) invited everyone on the decathlon team to attend. Michelle didn't even like parties all that much, but she liked going with Ned and Peter to observe all the shit that went down. People-watching was one of their favorite holiday traditions.

But now that she was pregnant, watching stupid teenagers get drunk wasn't high up on her list of things she wanted to do. And, as always, Peter and Ned were more than willing to change their plans for her, even when she argued against it. Turns out, they would much rather hang out with her grumpy, pregnant ass than go to a house party.

It was kind of sweet, really.

So, that's how she ended up at Peter's house Halloween night. Instead of a costume, she wore gray sweatpants and a t-shirt with a pumpkin right over her pregnant stomach. Some kid had left the shirt in her locker, probably as a joke. But she flipped it right back around on them, even wearing it to school one day (it was actually a pretty comfy shirt, and Michelle neither resented nor regretted anything).

The door opened, revealing Peter's smiling face. He looked at her for a minute, and she looked back at him, tapping her foot. "Are you gonna let me in or not?"

Peter chuckled. "Only if I can get a kiss from my beautiful girlfriend."

Michelle rolled her eyes. "Shut it, loser." She gave him a small kiss on the lips, then elbowed him aside to enter the apartment. Ned was sitting on the couch, holding a rather large stack of dvd's.

"Sup, lovebirds," Ned quipped. Michelle glared at him as she flopped onto the couch next to him.

She raised her eyebrow, nodding her head towards the stack of movies. "Star wars?" Ned nodded. "Hey guys," Michelle began, gearing up to do something she usually didn't do. "What type of car does Yoda drive?" The boys both stared at her. "A Toy-yoda." Michelle laughed a little, and so did the boys.

"So you're doing humor now?" Peter asks, taking a seat next to Michelle on the couch. He wraps his arm around her. Michelle had never been a big fan of touchy-feely relationships, but when it came to Peter, it just felt right. She couldn't explain it. It just did.

Michelle shrugged. "I've had a decent amount of spare time lately, with not wanting to leave my apartment and all. So I've been reading through a collection of joke books my sister left in my room. As she said, 'for my entertainment purposes, and for the baby's.'"

"Your sister is excited, huh?" Ned asked. Michelle nodded.

Peter laughed. "More like ecstatic. I don't know how she got my number, but do you know how many texts I've gotten from her?" Peter handed Michelle his phone, and she and Ned snickered over the conversations Peter had with Amara.

The evening was spent with scary movies and way too much candy. Michelle knew that Katherine would not approve of either one in her 'condition'. But it was Halloween. She had to get spooky and eat her weight in sugar. It was tradition.

Plus, she was technically eating for two. The baby needed candy almost as much as she did, so she wasn't about to skimp out on skittles and reeses cups.
