Chapter 2- Trouble on Set

Lauren was standing on one of the cat walks when she heard a familiar set of footsteps.

"Camz, what brings you up this high?" Lauren turned around and pinned the singer to the rail.

"I bought you some water." Camila put her hand on Lauren's chest to attempt to distance herself from the green eyed girl.

"Oh jeez. I guess I'm not as finely tuned as I thought I was. So we don't bat for the same team?" Lauren backed up and took a swig from the water bottle Camila had bought her.

"What. No we do. I'm just not interested in you. I mean you are very attractive but no. And anyway I hear you have you heart set on someone else".

"Demi needs to keep her mouth shut" Lauren growled before continuing to fix one of the lights.

"Demi was just being helpful. She said something about you being scared to tell he about something because you are different. She didn't say what different meant though" Camila sat down next to Lauren.

"Camz, what happens on this cat walk, stays on the cat walk okay. Only Demi knows about this because we were friends in college and I got a little too drunk one night. Camz, do you know what intersex is?"

"I've heard about it, not a lot. I saw some things on Tumblr. I'm guessing that you are intersex" Camila studied Lauren as she continued to ensure the condition of the light.

"Yeah, I am. Which means that I was born with a penis. Now, it's kind of hard to tell people that. They will happily have a fling with you but as soon as you try and get serious... That's a no-no" Lauren stopped looking at the light and instead looked to the stage. "I just don't know how to tell her"

"I'm sorry Lauren. I really am. But I'm also glad that you trust me enough to share that secret."

"No worries Camz. Just don't tell anyone, I'll tell them in my own time." Lauren stood and held her hand out to Camila. "So have you got your eye on someone?"

"I see potential in someone. I just gotta see where it takes me".

The two split, Camila to go and begin doing her duets with Ally while Lauren went in search of Dinah so they could begin to perform the mechanics in the dragon of above the stage.

"DJ, where are you" Lauren shouted.

"Normani, I don't have time for this" Lauren heard Dinah shout.

"Of course you don't. We are hardly ever at home, when we're here your are always up some ladder"

"Doing my job" Dinah shot back.

"Yes, but I don't understand why we can at least start to consider the possibility of at least peaking to a doctor about it" Normani shouted.

"Yes let's do this now. Just before the start of production where you have a entire musical to choreograph and I have a set and props to build but by all means lets get pregnant"

Lauren took a step back, knowing that she had heard too much.

"So you want even consider it." The green eyed girl could hear the tears in Normani's voice.

"I didn't say never, I said not right now. Okay. I do want to have kids but I just feel like now isn't the best time"

"Well maybe it is the right time and you're just the wrong person" Normani snapped.

Lauren had known Dinah long enough to know that the comment her wife had just made would send her into a violent wave of insults so she stepped in.

"DJ, there you are. Sorry to interrupt but we kind of have a dragon to put together and as awesome as I am I can't do it alone. So can we go or did you wanna just finish up"

"Nah, come on Jauregui, let's put the dragon together." Dinah went to walk out.

"Sorry for stealing your wife away Normani, but I also do believe that Camz, Ally and Austin are rehearsing, so if you wanted to go help, maybe choreograph in your mind or something. I don't know"

"Yeah Lauren, I might go do that, thanks" Normani gave Lauren a pat on the shoulder as she walked out, and completely ignored the nearby standing Dinah.

Lauren felt her heart break for the two of them.

"Come on Dmac, we've got work to do".
