The cold winds of winter blew harshly upon Casterly Rock. Deep within the fortified castle, a women looked upon the fire as it gave its warmth on the woman. Her pale hands caressed the swollen stomach, the sounds of her labored breathing gave any suggestion that something may be wrong. As the woman laid on the bed, the door creaked open. Wrinkled hands pushed open the door, once it was open, the older woman entered the room. She gazed at the woman before sighing, walking towards the water basin and placing a rag into it, wringing the water out, and placing the rag on the woman's forehead. She caressed her cheek before checking the woman from underneath. She nodded to herself and placed her legs up on the banister. She looked at the woman before notifying her to push. And the woman did.

On the other side of the castle, an older man paced the grand entrance, pausing to only gaze at the fire. His strong stature hardly faultering, but his breathing slightly skewed. The grand door suddenly burst open as he quickly turned around. His blue eyes glaring at the elderly woman in front of him. Wrapped in her arms, a babe. He glanced down at the babe, before grabbing it from the woman. His grip slowly softening the longer he looked at it. Blond tossled hair sat upon the babe's head, its eyes closed. He looked up once more, looking at the elderly woman standing there. He raised an eyebrow. She shook her head, her gaze glancing at the stone floor below them. His chest protruded forward as he nodded once more, taking the babe and turning away from the woman.

Deep within the castle, the woman who had just given birth, laid on the bed. Sheets stained red, sweat upon her brow. Her pale face grew even paler as her eyes gazed upwards, watching the deep red banister above. Her head slowly turned right, looking at the chair in front of her, empty. Suddenly, her breathing become more shallow as she felt the blood thicken and pool around her, until finally her breathing was no more.
