Beginning

A/N : Quick Authors Note : Sorry for interrupting but I want to say thank you for clicking on this stupid fanfic I decided to create. I'm not the best author and this is actually the first fanfiction i've put out into the world. So I hope you enjoy it and welcome me to this community. ~Satana

Beginning of story!

Hiyori's P.O.V

  After we got Yato back things went back to normal, for the most part. It was such a relief to see him come back. I never realized how important he was to me, how important his scent was, the little things he does. I missed him so much for that one month he was away. It was just nice to see him be happy and interact with Yukine and the others like how things used to be. The gods went back to work and so did Yato, Yukine, and I. Just thinking of how far we've come though is amazing. 

  "Hey Hiyori I finished the last of the problems and I think I finally got them right!" Yukine called out to me. Snapping out of my thinking I tried standing up but lost my balance, falling on my knees. What happened?? 

  "Hiyori?? Are you okay?" Yukine came over to me and put his hand out to help me get up. 

  Taking  his hand I reassured him, "Yeah, just a dizzy spell. You know I have them all of the time." I told him, truth is I didn't know what it was. It didn't feel like one at all, this was different. "Anyways, let's check your work." I smiled changing the subject so he wouldn't worry about it.

  I followed him back to his seat and sat by him. Scanning through his work I didn't seem to notice anything wrong.  Smiling I pat his head, "You did good, nothing wrong." I'm proud of him and how far he's come in his studies.

  He looked up at me and blushed slightly, his expression quickly changed into a smile too. "Thank you!" 

*THUMP* < Sound of loud noise downstairs

  Yukine groaned, "I don't know why I can't get some peace and quiet in this place ever." I completely understood, he lives with Yato, Kofoku, and Daikoku. Must be noisy all the time, having Yato here is enough for him also. I can imagine how much he bugs Yukine during his studies. 

  "Listen i'll check it out and let you continue your studies, it's probably not anything serious anyways." He nodded and picked up his pencil off of the floor. While he went back to working I got up quickly and went downstairs.

  As I thought I heard Daikoku and Yato fighting,  well Daikoku yelling at Yato. I could also hear Kofoku being hysterical. Sighing, I walked quickly to the room they were in and slid the door open introducing me to Daikoku lifting Yato up by his shirt collar looking very mad while Yato on the other hand...looks drunk. "You wanna say that again you little punk?!" Daikoku yelled at Yato.

  Yato didn't even look like he was listening and was too dazed. I sighed, "Hey guys can you please keep things down Yukine is trying to work." I interrupted. They both looked at me, Daikoku looked at me his expression not changing. Okay, maybe this was a bad idea- "Hiyori!!" Yato said with extreme happiness in his face slipping  out of Daikokus grip while he was still surprised by me and ran towards me. Daikoku gasped as he didn't expect that. "You lowsey god!" He yelled. 

  "Daikoku please calm down, Yatty doesn't deserve to be punished." I heard Kofoku say to Daikoku. 

  Startled  by Yato's actions, I put one foot back and tensed up not knowing what to expect  only for him to jump on me, knock us both down, and hug me. "I missed you!!" Yup. He was very drunk. I blushed a little and hugged him back for him, "I missed you too?" All of a sudden I heard small snores, they were cute. Wait, don't tell me he fell asleep on me! "Hey yato cmon get up!" But of course he wouldn't get up. "Ugh. of course." I said in disappointment. Whatever.

  I pushed him off of me with a bit of trouble but still managed, I then picked him up by letting my hands support his legs and have his arms go over my shoulders. "Hey Hiyori, i'm sorry." Daikoku told me after what I assume was talking with Kofoku, I looked at him and smiled, "It's okay." Then I started walking to the stairs and up them, this really reminded me of how Yato carried me like this that one time. My face grew red. 

  Whatever, I just need to get him to his bed and lay him down. Reaching the final step I exhaled, he was sure heavy. Or maybe i'm just weak in this form. I reached Yukine's and Yato's door, "Hey Yukine! Can you open then door!?" I said trying to be loud but not so loud that id wake yato up. He probably wouldn't anyways he was really wasted. "Yeah hold on." I heard Yukine say, and a few moments later he opened the door.

  "Why do you have Yato?" He asked in curiosity, didn't exactly seem pleased either. "He got so drunk he passed out. So I decided to take him out of Daikoku's hands as he was literally about to kill Yato with his own hands,and carry him up here to his bed myself." I explained leaving out "on me" after "passed out". I explained decided to mutter the fighting part. 

  "I really hope he doesn't talk in his sleep again." Yukine groaned and walked back to his table while I followed him and walked to yatos bed, and laid him down. I then put his blanket and covers over him, for some reason I had to stop and look at him, he looked so cute sleeping and so calm. Suddenly I slapped both sides of my face lightly, why am I thinking like that?! 

  After a bit of self lecturing I decided to gather my things and walk to the door holding the door knob. "Hey yukine i'm gonna head home, it's getting late. Make sure to study lesson 13, i'm giving you a test over it tomorrow if you've forgotten." Turning my head to him I informed him turning my head to him before I left and waved good bye. 

  "Okay." He told me after hearing what I said. I really hope he studies tonight. "And please don't stay up late." I finally said and left the room, leaving Kofoku's place as well. Starting to walk home I breathed in the fresh air, it was nice. For some reason I felt so lonely leaving Kofoku's place, a place in my heart felt lonely. But why? 

  I decided to ignore it. I just needed to get home, bathe, and sleep, i'm exhausted. Running around with Yato and Yukine can be tiring for a human.

  I got home quite fast, I don't even remember passing the stray cats I like to pet walking home. Maybe I was too caught up in thinking about stuff. I opened the front door of my house and greeted my parents then walked up the stairs. I got to my room and went to open the door, suddenly everything turned black for a split second. Next thing I knew I was on the floor on my knees again. My head ached horribly. Quickly I got up the things I dropped and got up myself. Opened my room door, went inside, and closed the door. Putting down my things before getting ready for a bath. Luckily the headache I had for a bit decided to subside. 

---- Time skip to when Hiyori is out of the bath and getting ready for bed ----

  After drying my hair and putting on sleepwear I was fully tired, today had been a long day following Yato and Yukine around fighting phantoms was tiring as I said before. Even in my other form. Sighing in satisfaction, I laid down on my bed under the covers. It felt so nice finally getting into bed. I actually fell asleep without thinking about it. 

  Suddenly I was back at Capyper land with Yato, us holding hands (both hands while us being across from eachother), time going slow. Why was I here?? I looked up at him, he seemed to be looking at me seriously. "Hiyori.." He put his hand on my cheek and leaned towards me then closed his eyes, was he going to kiss me?! What should I do?? Before I knew it his lips touched mine, they were soft and nice. 

  I kind of got caught up in it and kissed back, it was so nice and lovely. This felt so right. ' Before we could finish something interrupted us, that something was loud and beepy... Sudden I arose from my bed. "Oh my god that was a dream wasn't it?" I asked myself. "It felt so real.." I whispered. My heart was beating so fast, whats this feeling? Would that have happened if the icebergs didn't appear in Capyper land?  

  Quickly I covered my face that was blushing harder than ever before. Why would I have a dream about him?! What were these thoughts...
