I haven't been on here in a few days. So, I just want to take the time out to say happy Vindication Day. It's hard believing it's been fourteen years since that verdict. I have and will always believe in Michael's innocence. No matter what others say, I will continue to support him 100%

Now, on with the story...

Why is Michael distant? Ever since the incident between him and his brother a week prior, he has been acting very strange. He's barely at the mansion, and he hasn't even shown up to the cotton club. I've been continuing with my nightly shows as he does, god knows what...The only time we're reunited is when we're both at bed at night...And that's when I'm awakened by him trying to sneak into bed without me noticing. And when I'm up by morning, he's already dressed, heading out.

I think back to what Samantha said to me before her untimely end...

He will do you the same way. Don't feel so lucky.

Was she right? Is he looking for a way to let me down easy? Is there another woman?

Let's keep it real. I was an inexperienced virgin. I'm sure he has beautiful women who would do any and everything for him, just throw themselves at him...It would break my heart if he would be so quick to move on; however, I'm able to put on my big girl panties and consider this a lesson learned.

I climb out of bed, a little past noon. I decide to take a nice hot shower to wake myself up. I dress into something comfy yet sexy for the time being. I'll really dress this evening when I arrive to the club later on today. I have rehearsals and a show to do.

It's late evening by the time I arrive inside the cotton club. One of Michael's bodyguards, Jack the bulldog, follows my every move. His request. It doesn't sit well with him if I'm left alone without some sort of security. Already, others are here to rehearse as well. I'm greeted by several individuals, as I start towards backstage. I can hear the sounds of the band practicing as one lady begins going over her song. Her voice is beautiful. We approach my dressing room, and there I see my name, plated in gold on the wooden panel. I smile a little. It's official. I have earned my respect around here... It'll probably be another hour before I am asked to go on stage to go over my song. So, I have a little time to myself.

"Jack, if you don't mind, I think I'll like to rest my head before I go on. For some reason I feel a migraine coming on."

"Sure Miss. I'll be right outside your door if you need me."

"Thank you."

He flashes me a brief smile before walking out of my dressing room. It's not until I hear the door closing, where the weight lifts off my shoulders...Immediately I start to unpack my things. I hang my gown for the night in the closet. I set my shoes in there as well. I'm actually really proud of my gown I've chosen to wear for tonight. With Michael being gone, it has given me a chance to channel the fashion designer that has been longing to come out. Yes, I made it myself. I'm no professional. But I do thoroughly enjoy making and designing my own line of fashion.

Within an hour, Jack is knocking on my door, telling me I'm needed for rehearsals. With my sheet music in hand, I walk alongside him through the crowded backstage. Many of the singers acknowledge me, with a smile. I even get a hug from a few passerby's. On the other hand, there is a clique of jealous women, whom stare me down...I even catch one whispering to another as I walk by them. Being with Michael has made me somewhat of a threat. I look the other way, not caring to give them the energy they so desperately want from me.

"I'll be sitting in the crowd." Jack whispers as stepping down from the stage.

"Okay." I nod.
