I just Han Solo'd his ass.
I had a feeling Landon meant it in a completely different way, but I forced myself to take his "I love you" as if he were saying it to a sister.
It was nothing more than sibling love. That's what he even said. I just got tingles from it still...which I know I shouldn't.
After a long talk with Rose, we had finally gone to bed, Landon's words playing over and over again in my head.
I had left him stunned downstairs as I giggled and disappeared into the room.
I sit up groggily, hearing birds chirp from outside and noticing it's early.
I groan and lie back down, peeking an eye out to see Rose beside me, fast asleep with her mouth wide open, on her side with our bellies touching.
I close my eyes, beginning to drift back to sleep when I hear something splat against the window. I ignore it, keeping my eyes closed as two more hit the window.
I sigh, heaving myself up and looking outside into the backyard. I see Landon outside with Rowan and Liam, snow gear on and snowballs in hand.
The backyard being fairly large, snow upon everything as we hit the cold of winter time. A small porch is connected to the house and its back door, then breaks off into what I would imagine is grass underneath. There's a frozen over pool and a fire pit as well.
Landon smirks towards the window as I open it, ducking when a snowball comes souring over my head.
I turn back to glare at whoever just threw it, all three of them glancing around, pretending to be innocent.
"Merry Christmas Eve," Landon says, not having to yell as it's very quiet outside, minus the small bird chirps here and there.
"I was sleeping," I respond with a deadpanned look. He rolls his eyes and bunches some more snow in his hands.
"And?" He asks and my eyes turn to slits.
"And sleeping is vital for me. If I'm sleeping, my babies are sleeping. Which means, no throwing up, no cravings, and no aching," I say, listing them off of my fingers.
"Well you're awake now. Come join us!" He says and I shake my head.
"I'll pass, I want to sleep some more," I say, glancing down and seeing my phone charging on the dresser. I click it on. 8:09 AM.
"Don't make me come in there Christine," Landon threatens, the twins easily watching this go down.
"I'll just lock the doors," I say with a smirk and Landon drops the snow, taking off into a full sprint towards the back door.
I shriek and run to the door connected to the hallway. I quickly lock it, then doing the same with the bathroom door. I huff in triumph, going back to the bed to lie down.
Before my butt can even touch the mattress, the bedroom door is thrown open and Landon stands there victoriously, a small key in hand.
He quietly comes and pulls me out of the room, doing his best not to wake Rose as she stirs.
After he closes the door and we're in the hall, I begin to protest.
"Landon, I don't wanna go!" I shriek, grabbing onto door frames as he hauls me towards the stairs. I push my back against him and he stumbled backwards as I make a run for Rose's room.
He quickly recovers, unfortunately, and traps me in between his arms against the wall right beside the door.
"Please," he pleads, his eyes growing wide and I feel myself slowly starting to give in.
