After collecting myself from my breakdown, I had sat with Lauri and told her thank you as she held me, Rose had sat with us and stroked my arms.
Landon and the twins had disappeared upstairs to take care of the gifts and probably get themselves out of this awkward scene.
After feeling well and calm, I had gone upstairs with Rose to put my photo in my duffel, but Rose had stopped me and had me set it upon her dresser with her other photos.
We now lie on her bed, staring at the ceiling as we talk. I asked her what she opened and she told me she had opened her gift to see a black T-shirt that reads "salt" on it and a little salt shaker on the back.
The door slightly opens, and Rowan pokes her head through. We raise our eyebrows at her and she smiles sheepishly.
"I wanted to make sure Christine was okay," she says with a shrug, coming into the room and lying down with us on the bed, her legs entangling with ours as we're all squished.
"Thank you, I'm okay now," I say with a small smile and lean my head on hers, seeing as she came to lie between Rose and I.
The door opens again, but this time Liam's head pokes through as he grins at us.
"I brought comfort food," he says, reminding me much of Landon since he normally brings me snacks foods.
Liam holds up chocolate as he comes to lay down on top of his twin, laying in her lap. I chuckle and grab the chocolate out of his hands, taking a bite and savoring the sweet and milky taste.
"Thank you," I say with a sticky mouth, earning a laugh from the others.
Before anyone can talk again, the bathroom door to the room opens, and Rose raises her eyebrows.
"Why is our bedroom such a hotspot right now," Rose asks and I laugh. I shrug lightly as we see Landon walk into the room.
"How are you feeling?" He questions me, his eyes holding concern and care for me. I smile at him, assuring him I'm okay.
"Better," I answer and we all scoot over, pushing Rose up against the wall, the twins squished between her and I, and Landon almost hanging off the bed.
Yet surprisingly, we all fit.
"Good, you got us all worried," Landon says with a light laugh and I smile.
"Chocolate?" I ask aloud, and Rose quickly snatched it and takes a large bite, almost moaning in satisfaction.
The door opens again and we all laugh, except for Landon who just seems confused.
Lauri pokes her head in and laughs when she sees us all laying together. She springs forward to lay with us, landing on top of the twins, careful not to bump our stomachs.
They both groan out and I giggle.
"Mom," Liam groans out and Rowan glares at the ceiling.
"Can't...breath," Rowan says and Lauri chuckles as she rolls off of them, coming to lay beside Rose. Landon, desperate not to fall off the bed, clutches onto my side and folds his body against mine.
I feel my cheeks become pink, thankful that no one was really looking at my face.
"What are you all doing in here?" Lauri asks, looking around at all of her kids.
"We wanted to spend time with the two preggo's over here," Liam says with a shrug and we laugh as Lauri gives him a dubious look.
"When did you suddenly become so sweet?" Lauri asks and Liam shrugs.
