When An Luo regained consciousness, it was dusk. The golden rays of sunlight penetrated the shabby metal-framed window and shone into the corner. His nose was filled with the heavy scent of blood, his body was drained of energy, even moving his fingers a little filled him with so much pain that he was almost unable to breathe. Every pore was transmitting intense pain as if they were ripped apart and both legs had completely lost all feeling, unable to move.
An Luo frowned slightly. Previously when he rushed to the factory, it was already past dusk. When those people started to torture him, it had already became dark and the run-down factory only had the old type of bulbs. In the dim light, their shadows had lengthened and their faces were sinister like a group of devils.
At the moment, there was no one nearby and it was so quiet he could only hear his own breathing.
An Luo took a deep breath and endured the pain, trying to move both hands to undo the rope that bound him.
Unfortunately, the rope was tied too tightly and An Luo's wrists had a deep red mark, but the rope still showed no signs of loosening. An Luo could only give up temporarily and used his eyes to search his surroundings for possible places to escape.
Right at that moment, he suddenly heard the screeching sound of the metal door opening and An Luo quickly shut his eyes, pretending to be unconscious.
In came five people, one of them walking in front with leisurely footsteps, supposedly their head, and the footsteps of the other four sounded slightly messy.
"How is he?" The young man who was their head asked softly.
---Whose voice was that? Why did it sound so familiar?
"We taught him a lesson. He fainted and had a high fever while unconscious for two days, even cold water can't wake him." Another person agreed, "Yeah, he looks quite refined, but who knew he would be so stubborn, biting his lip and refusing to say anything!"
The young man nodded and said indifferently, "If he's not willing to speak, just get rid of him to avoid any troubles brought about by delays."
He walked slowly to An Luo, squatted down and gently lifted An Luo's chin, saying softly, "I'll give you one last chance...where's the formula?"
An Luo opened his eyes slowly.
Suddenly meeting a pair of familiar eyes.
For a moment, An Luo thought he was dreaming. The man's delicate eyebrows, black clear eyes, distinctive handsome and refined face suddenly magnified itself in front of him. That face, An Luo had seen it countless times. It was so familiar that he could close his eyes and describe his outline. Right then, there was no expression on that person's face, but An Luo had stiffened in the moment he met his eyes.
---Su Zi Hang.
The person that his brother An Yang previously loved the most.
Why was he here? Was he also a member of the Illuminati? Or was it like before, a mole for the police?
There were many questions in An Luo's heart that he did not have time to carefully consider, then he saw Su Zi Hang suddenly come close to his ear and whispered something, "I'm saving you on Chen Rui's behalf. Later, act dead, okay?" After he finished, he looked calmly at An Luo, like as if the soft voice he heard earlier was just An Luo's illusion.
After a few seconds, he again used his fingers to lift An Luo's chin, softly asking, "Where's the formula?"
"I don't know." An Luo answered coldly.
