That afternoon, An Luo stayed in his office working overtime, reaching home very late. He may have delayed going home in order to avoid An Ze. Logically, An Ze's method of making a clean break was indeed good for the both of them, but An Luo still felt some sadness. When he was first reborn, it was An Ze who had always cared about him and looked after him. After a month of interaction, he gradually let his guard down against An Ze, and even regarded An Ze as the only trustworthy person in this unfamiliar world.
Unfortunately, the warmth given by An Ze did not belong to him. It was justifiable that An Ze wanted to withdraw everything now that he knew the truth. But somehow, An Luo felt like he had been betrayed by a friend or abandoned by a relative. Maybe emotionally, he had never been able to be as decisive and clear-cut as An Ze. In his heart, he had long already treated An Ze as his closest younger brother, maybe not just a younger brother...
Not just a younger brother? What else could he be?
An Luo frowned, and quickly dismissed the strange thoughts in his mind.
Other than An Yang, no one else had ever been such a big influence on him, with his mood fluctuating just because of a few words from him, and without any logical control, An Luo hated this feeling.
When he reached home, An Guang Yao was sitting in the living room watching television. Seeing An Luo enter, he turned and asked with concern, "Has Xiao Luo eaten dinner? Why are you home so late?"
An Luo explained, "There were some issues to handle in the office, so I came back late. I've already eaten out."
Looking around, he noticed An Ze's open room door. It seemed like there was no one inside and very quiet. An Luo could not help asking, "Grandpa, where's An Ze?"
An Guang Yao smiled and said, "He came back this afternoon and moved out. This child, said that this house was too far away from his office and it was not convenient to commute to work daily. He bought a house in the district opposite his office and has already moved there to live."
An Luo was silent for a moment, then asked softly, "When...did he buy the house?"
An Guang Yao said, "He bought it last week. Oh yes, Xiao Luo, I forgot to tell you, if you think that it's inconvenient to get to work, why not move in with An Ze to stay near the office, since An Ze's place is quite big, with three bedrooms, a living room and a dining room."
An Luo quickly shook his head, "It's okay, Grandpa."
He didn't think that An Ze would have already planned in advance to retreat, and even bought a house last week planning to move...actually An Ze, you didn't need to hurriedly move just to avoid me. This was originally your family and I should be the one to go.
An Luo sighed internally and without another word, turned and headed to his bedroom.
Sitting on his bed, he turned on his white tablet and searched online for the procedure to apply for a passport and visa. Even if he left, he had no choice but to use An Luo's identity to go through these procedures, otherwise, he would be living in this world like a soul without an identity.
Thinking it over, he decided on Vancouver, as it was the place he lived in the last few years before he died and he was familiar with the local culture, customs and the language. Even if he lived there for over twenty years alone, he should quickly become accustomed to it.
An Luo made his decision and gathered all the information on processing his passport and visa, planning to bring all the data to the immigration office another day.
After completing this task, An Luo lay on the bed intending to get to sleep early, but could not fall asleep at all. Clearly, his bad sleeping habit of his past life was affecting him again.
