Books have a weird way and habit of meddling with reality. While they can create a thick wall between the reality of the book and the reality of our worlds, the same book can destroy previously created walls. Books, no matter how important a part and no matter how great an influence, will remain books; separate from our realities. It is therefore immensely important to remember and maintain our own metaphysical walls, but with windows, to only take in what should be taken in, and to leave out what should not. It does not matter which side of the wall you stand in.

To put it simply: books are works of fiction. Maybe not all, and maybe not most, but those that are, they are to be taken so.
