i pulled my blanket up over my head, trying to block out the blinding sunlight streaming through the blinds i had accidentally left open last night. '7 in the morning is way to early for it to start getting bright outside,' i thought to myself. i rolled over and stuffed my face into my down pillow, trying to force myself back to sleep before i had to get ready for work in 30 minutes. I listened to the soft whiring of my fan and to the gentle song of the birds outside my window. Deciding there was no way i was going to fall back asleep i pushed my duvet off of me and shivered as the harsh chill of my room bit into my skin. i reached for my phone on the night stand, and grabbed my glasses sliding them onto my face. Powering on the device i scrolled through my notifications, swiping them off screen to be delt with later until i reached a message from Felix.

I shook my head, laughing at the crazy antics of my best friend. I loved the little Australian to pieces, but he coukd be a bit of a crackhead at times. i pushed myself out of bed, wincing at the contact with the cold floor. As i walked across the room to my closet i turned on my radio, the speakers flooding the room with the familar melody of Shoot Me by Day6. I pulled out the outfit i had lrepared last night as i jumped around my bedroom singing along.

i dressed quickly, tucking the front of my shirt into my jeans and pulling my belt around my waist. i walked into my bathroom, running my fingers through my dyed blond hair and placing a simple white hat over my head. i brushed my teeth and washed my face, still humming alone to the song playing in the other room. i replaced my rounded glasses with contacts, blinking to adjsut my vision becore inspecting myself in the mirror. I groaned as i spotted the purple tinted bags under my eyes, the result of having a careless soulmate. i opened my medicine cabinet and pulled out a small tube of concealer that i bought not to long ago. i poured some of the pale cream onto my finger and dabbed it under my eyes, trying to make myself look a bit less zombie like. Still not satisfied i pulled out an eyeliner pencil and quickly lined my eyes, blinking as i poked myself more than once. stepping back, i nodded, deciding that i looked presentable for my first day and flicked the light off and stepped out of the bathroom. Checking the time i realized i had been getting ready a lot slower than i thought because my clock already read 8:15. i scrambled to gather my things in a bag, pulling on a comfortable pair of shoes before locking my door and beginning the short walk to my new job. I had previously worked independently as a producer, but not to long ago i got scouted by an entertainment company- JYP entertainment to be specific. I was greatful for the opportunity to work with such a well know company with so many amazing artists, but i couldnt help the nerves that courses though my body, growing stronger and more prevalent with every step i took. 'what if im not good enough, what if the people there dont like me,' a million thoughts swirled around in my head as a approached the building i would be working in starting today. as i made it to the door, i pushed my worries to the back of my mind and put a smile on my face, ready to seize the opportunity i was given.
