glowing eyes

lost wealth
names forgotten
treehouses covered in ivy,slowly decaying
scent of leather gone to waste
children's metal shoes no longer search through halls
party ball halls stained in water
the rich have been eaten alive
their memory seared in our minds.
Tall paintings in the halls of my broken family
we hide our secrets by shiny homes
but they're falling now.
Our past covered by law offices.
Over time our green and yellow roses wilt
we emigrate,only five dollars left
we drink it all
everyone's angry now,the rich have been eaten and digested.
The throne taken over
by marooning snarling smiles and marooning souls.
The undead crawls through barns
unsettling feelings of corruption beneath the floor.
You arose from all of us and ran
you carved your name into a ships post on the way there.
Gold grew again, safeness rocked in a cradle but it was so artificial, thrown out once again.
Darkness grew too quick and it's there permanently
Glowing eyes grilled into our skins.
As everyone gets older, buildings fall and road kill gets eaten, remember the days that were oh so long.
We act like everything's over
at our age
we know
everything's over.
