although johnny never finished his list, he got what he wanted.
after kenzie woke up from her seizure two years ago, maddie showed her a recording of what johnny confessed when she was asleep.
kenzie realized that popularity is way less important than the man who cared for her most. the man who stayed overnight in a hospital for her. the man who would drop anything he's doing to come check on her.
kenzie and johnny dated for two years until the unexpected happened.
kenzie was feeling terrible, weak, tired, anxious, and nervous, and she had no clue of why this was happening to her.
after she visited her doctor, kenzie was diagnosed with something crazy.
kenzie had breast cancer.
she cried for days, weeks, until it was time for her to make her decision. a double mastectomy or lumpectomy.
a double mastectomy meant that she would get both of her breasts removed.
whereas a lumpectomy, meant that the surgery would remove only the tumor and a small rim of normal tissue around it.
johnny was heartbroken at the news. but still promised to help kenzie thru it all.
kenzie was wavering but she thought that a lumpectomy is the best option. johnny however, felt the opposite and didn't want to tell her his opinion.
johnny felt that if she needed advice from her boyfriend, she would need it now most.
he decided to say, i think the double mastectomy is best because you can be sure the cancer can never come back because it'll be removed.
kenzie was surprised that
he wasn't going along with everything she said and actually voiced his better opinion. she loved him for it.

johnny took a minute to process all of this information he just received. he didn't want to hurt her feelings in case she didn't feel the same as him.

johnny ran to her and gave her a hug.
