"Officer could you please give us more information." Toya begged with tears streaming down her face. We were currently in a hospital waiting room. I got a call from this hospital saying Rayven, Karmen, Pharaoh and Tyler were all in a really bad car wreck.

My knee bounced up and down as Toya continued to go back and forth with the officer.

"Toya he said it's under investigation, damn." The officer walked away as Toya turned her head toward me.

"Our friends are on their death bed-.."

"Don't say that shit!" It came out louder than I wanted it to but she was pissing me off.

"That's what's happening Carter. Those were my best friends sin-..."

"And those are my brothers!"

"You won't let me finish. Those are some of the most important people in our lives. We can't just sit on our asses."

"What you want us to do huh? Call batman? We can't do shit!" She just shook her head and at me and walked off. I didn't have time to go chase her.

I had to sit and pray that they make it through. I didn't want to tell 3 families and my own that their kids died saving my ass.

"Sir, are you here for Tyler Golden, Maurice Blackwell and Pharaoh Stevens?" The doctor asked flipping through his clipboard. I nodded my head.

"I'm also here for Rayven Barnes and Karmen Jackson."

"The women were given to a different department. I can direct you toward that department." I nodded my head tapping my foot waiting on the news.

"Golden suffered a severe concussion, along with with a broken leg and collar bone. However he is awake, but we would like to keep him until further notice..."

"Stevens also suffered a broken leg as well as a concussion. He also has severe cuts to the face, however those will heal."

He sighed.

"Due to Blackwell not having his seatbelt on, in effect of the crash his body went through the windshield. He has swelling and bleeding in the brain as well as other internal bleeding. He is now in surgery. If the surgery goes well, we anticipate that he may slip into a coma, and be paralyzed from the waist down."

I dropped my head. Holding back the tears from falling.

"Doc.. you- you think he gone make it?" I wiped my face looking at the ground. I couldn't look even look him in the eye, frightened about what he might say.

"It is a 50/50 chance son. If he survives we do not know what kind of complications he may have. But I can promise you I will do my absolute best to bring your friend back home to you." He laid his hand on my shoulder. I nodded my head wiping the tear that threatened to fall.

"Where can I find the girls?"

I rocked myself back and forth as I sat in Karmen and Rayven's room. Both of there faces were swollen and cut up. Rayven had a concussion with a broken forearm, Karmen had a minor concussion. I couldn't help but feel like this was completely my fault.

Had it not been for my crazy ass family, none of my friends would be in the hospital and Carter wouldn't have been stabbed.

Tears fell rapidly down my face as I tried to wipe them away.

Carter appeared in the doorway with a saddened look on his face. That alone made my heartbeat speed up again.

"Pharaoh and Tyler gone be ok. Broken bones and concussions." His head hung down. I saw a small tear fall to the ground and I immediately rushed him engulfing him in a hug.

I heard him sob into my shoulder and that made my heart sank. I wanted to cry too, but I had to be strong right now.

"They- they said Mo might not make it. And if he does, he won't walk again." He said in between cries. I shut my eyes stopping the tears from trying to fall. My shirt dampened as his tears fell onto them. His knees weakened causing me to hold his body weight as we slowly got to the ground.

I wrapped my legs around him placing his head in my chest, rubbing his scalp. His cries continued.

"Carter baby we have to put positivity out there. Mo is strong, he's gonna fight through this. He's gonna make it. He's gonna walk. He's gonna be regular, goofy Mo that we love." I continued rocking us.

"It's gonna be ok baby. We just have to pray." I kissed his forehead.

"Can we?" His voice was so small. It truly broke my heart to see him like this. But I was his woman, and he was my man. We were going to fight through this together. I closed my eyes bowing my head.

"Dear Lord... we come to you today..."

"I knew your ass would be back." The officer said closing my cell.

I rolled my eyes, laying back onto my bunk.

My bunkie moaned as she played with herself for the 12th time today. I twisted my face in disgust as I rubbed my belly.

I should be giving birth within the next two months. I somehow had to prove that this was Carter's baby. Well I had two years to figure out how I could make that happen. I sighed and closed my eyes to let sleep take over me.

This is not the last of me being in Carter and Toya's lives.
