I have no friends, family, or pets. I always feel cold, even in the hottest places. If there was a perfect heat that I could enjoy I would savor that moment. Since I am 17, I still have to attend school for two more years. Then I could go to college, but I decided put it off until later. I have all the time in the world because I can live forever, for it is written that all vampires cannot age anymore once they reach 21 years old.
I am sad but must smile so no one suspects anything. I must learn new languages to be prepared for another departure to any state at any time. This is a necessary precaution I must take.
Today is August 15, 2020; the first day of school at Los Angeles High School. I doubt that I will be tracked here. I don't know what clothing to wear, but I eventually settle on my custom-made, button up, long sleeve shirt. Along with that, I choose black jeans to compliment my black and red shoes. My hair is already black with red highlights and my are eyes a gleaming purple.
After deciding what to wear, I drive to school. As soon as I get there, I head to the office to receive my schedule.
The office is busy with staff running around. I awkwardly shuffle to the front desk and say, "I'm here for my schedule?"
"Name?"
"Elizabeth Diaz" I say not in a hurry at all.
"Oh, yes. It's on the printer printing right now. You can go get it."
I walk to the printer and get my schedule, taking a quick look at it. I see that I kind of enjoy the way my day is gonna pass by.

I knock on the door and hear a, "Come in," almost immediately as if the teacher was expecting me. I walk in and she turns around and just continues, "Find a seat somewhere, anywhere."
I look around the class and see only one seat available, so much for any seat. I sit down and class begins. If my class was upstairs, I would take a seat near the window as an escape, if needed. If it was downstairs, I made sure to sit next to the door. This class was the only exception of this for I came in late.
When lunch rolls around I grab my meal and walk outside to enjoy the peace. I find a comfortable place to sit so I can enjoy my lunch and read a book. Almost 5 minutes pass by when I notice a boy walking towards me. He sits next to me and eats his lunch but remains silent, never uttering a word. I shrug, afterall, he is just sitting there and not doing anything. What harm is there to worry about?
