It was another sunny morning at the hotel and Basil woke up yet again to Sybil missing. Before he had properly realized this, a shrill voice shouted up the stairs: "BASIL THE SIGN HAS BEEN CHANGED AGAIN!" Basil blocked his wife's shouted outed and rolled back over mumbling under his breath. He was determined to have his Saturday lie in regardless of his leadership position in the hotel. It wasn't long before Sybil burst in with an irritated look on her face "Basil!" "Something wrong dear?" He said full well he had it coming to him. "Don't act all innocent Basil. You know full well you were supposed to be up early today to catch up to catch the person who keeps changing the sign." "Oh yes I remember now." "Look Basil, I'm not trying to have a go at you," "Oh really?" Sybil looked over her shoulder as she opened the curtain letting the sunlight flood the room. "Yes Basil really" "It just came across that way what with all the shouting." "Well get up and investigate ok?"
*Downstairs* " Morning Mrs Fawlty, did you know the sign has been changed again? Must have been the Germans. He added matter of factly. (The Major dislikes the Germans because of the Second World War.) "I'm sure it wasn't Major, they are not near the hotel. Anyway, Basil (looks at Basil) is just sorting it." "Yes of course dear!" "Thank you Basil that would be the sensible solution wouldn't it?" As Basil walked out, Manuel called after him with Polly by his side. When Basil had ignored Manuel, Polly called after him. "Mr Fawlty!" "What Polly can't you see I'm busy?" "I just-" "We" "Shut up Manuel Basil snapped hitting Manuel over the head with his palm. "I just wanted to let you know Mr Fawlty that the sign has been muddled again" "Yes I know! I mean, can't you see what I'm trying to do you stupid woman?!" "Sorry Mr Fawlty."
*Back Inside* "Ooo Mr Fawlty you're not looking to good." "I'm perfectly fine thank you Mrs Tibbs!" "The sign has been changed again Mr Fawlty" "Yes, yes I've sorted it than you ladies" he said with a pained and forced smile on his face.

(Addressing the whole foyer) "Everybody, the sign has been corrected please carry on with your day. Thank you."
Author's Note: Hey, so this is a Fawlty Towers fan fiction. Fawlty Towers is an old TV series which I absolutely love. Sorry for the randomness of this chapter. The thinking behind it is this: every episode at the beginning there is the Fawlty Towers sign which is changed to say something else by a person who's face is never revealed. The random mess of the chapter was supposed to by a who's who guide so in case it is still unclear: Basil and Sybil Fawlty- Own Fawlty Towers, Manuel and Polly- Hotel staff, The Major- A long term guest and Mrs Tibbs- I believe the two women are sisters who are also long term guests.
