"Manuel come here a second please"
"Yes Mr Fawlty"
Polly and Sybil glanced at each other and nodded then advanced on the door careful not to blow their cover.
They listened into the conversation on the other side.

*In the Office*
"I'm so sorry Mr Fawlty I did not mean to get so drunk. It was just because it was my birthday. Oh, and sorry If what I said was cringy and if you don't feel the same way I understand.."
"No Manuel I'm sorry. I'm sorry for not admitting that I loved you sooner"
"But you still love Mrs Fawlty?"
"Yes, I'm bisexual- I love you both."
"I'm gay. My last boyfriend was left behind in Spain when I left my family. It was the saddest day of our lives. He's now married to his husband. And I'm here. With no one."
A tear started to fall from Manuel's eye and he quickly wiped it away.
"I'm so sorry to hear it Manuel!"
"You're the only person I've ever loved to the same level. It broke my heart when you did something with Polly."
"Yeah, we were quite drunk."
There was a long silence that followed as the two men pondered their chat.

*Outside*
Sybil started to cry silently into Polly's comforting embrace.
"I thought he loved only me! No, actually I knew there was something going on!"
"I'm so sorry Mrs Fawlty. Umm....could I speak to you in the kitchen....please?"

*Kitchen*
"Ever since I started working here..."
"It's alright Polly- you can tell me anything." Said Sybil with an encouraging smile on her face.
"I have just a slight crush...Ok. No. A massive crush on...

You."
"Me?"
"Yes! I'm sorry if I've just embarrassed you but, I'm a lesbian."
"Seeing as we are being truthful...I guess I should probably tell you that I am also a lesbian!"
"Really?"
"Yes! Ever since you started to work here I've always admired you. When eventually we tell the boys, would you marry me?"
"Of course Mrs Fawlty!"
"One more thing...."
"Yes?"
"Call me Sybil."

*In the Foyer*
The four stood there looking like guilty puppies and just stared for a good minute or two before  exclaiming in unison:
"We need to talk."
