not as bad as he seems.

                                      AALIYAHS POV.

"why did you follow me in here?" I asked him as my smile faintly faded away. "just making sure you're all good." he said as his light brown irises sparkled from the lights that came down on us. "I'm fine." I told him while my eyes fixated on his. "well then I guess should go now." he replied, dragging his pinky along the front pieces of my hair. my body immediately heated up. he stood up and began walking towards the door.

I stopped him, "wait." I said softly. he turned around slowly and placed his hands behind his back. he said nothing so I spoke out one more time, "I can't take myself home, you know. not really sober enough." I said with nervousness, thinking he would say no. "right, right. I can take you as long as you won't puke in my car. aight?" he said with a small grin. "aight." I mocked him with a small chuckle.

he didn't seem to find it funny at all because he stood there with a serious look piled on his face, "sorry that was supposed to be funny. anyway yes, I accept your terms. but I need one more drink." I re-added. he nodded as I barely stood myself up and walked out of the bathroom. everyone was staring at me with hatred. not one person was facing somewhere else. it was almost as if they knew what I did. they knew that I killed him.

I got scared for a moment and yelled at them, "what? why are you all looking at me!" I said as I feel a tear slide down my cheek. "leave me alone, I didn't do anything!" I added. I feel the gangster turn me around by the waist so that I would look at him, "no ones looking at you." I don't know if he noticed but when he grabbed me I calmed down. the way he spoke to me very calmly and quietly, made me feel calm.

I turned around to see everyone still dancing and drinking. I covered my mouth with my hand and let out a small laugh. no one was looking at me. "sorry," I whispered, "going a little crazy from everything that's been going on." I added with a small smile. I feel him let go of me as I walk over to the bar and ask the bartender for one more drink. she sent me a soft smile as I. took the drink from her hands.

1,2,3. I countdown in my head then chug down the alcohol. I put the glass down and pull out money from my back pocket. I handed her a hundred dollar bill and an extra 20. I turned around to see the gangster with a small grin. "time to go!" I say, shoving my cash back into my pocket. I felt myself go weak for a couple of seconds before my head started spinning. I walk out of the building with a smile that wouldn't wipe off of my face.

"show me the way gang friend." I said with a small chuckle while pointing at the cars parked beside the curb. he walked over to the back of the building and got into his black BMW parked in a VIP parking space. I follow him into the car and shut the door after me. "can I ask you something?" I ask, looking over at him with a serious face. "go for it ma." he replied, as he stared into my dark blue irises.
