Roaul, Blake and Sun were walking down the steps of Blake's house as the sound of seagulls filled the sky. It was sunrise as well, meaning that the sky was lit with an amazing tone of orange.

"Okay...are you ready?" Blake asked.

"I've beat up on giant monsters robots more than once! I think I can handle getting a few signatures" Sun smirked, getting his scroll out.

"Alright, let's get started" Roaul nodded.

Some time later...

"Your chieftain needs you! Your people need you! Please, join the fight and help us save Haven Academy!" Blake called, but some Faunus were reluctant at the idea of fighting for Haven.

"Are you kidding me?" Sun asked. "We'd love to have someone with your skills on our side!"

"Mata!" The mother came out of the house and grabbed her son. "Come back inside!"

"Mom!"

"You're not going anywhere!"

Time after time, attempt after attempt; Blake, Sun, and Roaul could not find any Faunus Willian to sign up to defend Haven. Not even Faunus in the water. Blake regrouped with Sun and Roaul to have a drink with them.

"I don't get it!" Sun shouted, slamming his drink down. "How can they sit around and do nothing with the White Fang getting ready to attack?!"

"Because not everyone is like you, me, or Roaul" Blake answered. "The Faunus here in Menagerie - the ones that weren't born on the island - moved here because they were tired of fighting, of having to struggle constantly. Menagerie is filled with people that just want to be left alone, and here we are, asking them to put the rest of the world before themselves"

"I guess I never really thought about it like that" Sun rested his head on his left hand.

"The problem is, whatever happens at Haven is going to affect them, whether they like it or not" Blake added. "If Adam gets his way and Haven falls, it's only going to make things worse for the Faunus. Everywhere"

"Adam...he's the guy you used to...work with?" Sun asked.

"Yes" Blake sighed.

"Sorry, forget I brought it up" Sun apologised.

"No, it's okay" Blake reassured.

"Sometimes, I just feel lost, knowing that this is all happening" Roaul said. "I mean, Adam wanting to take charge and bring even more violence, it's just...too much for even me to handle. And I'm a human"

"It's because you're different" Sun firmly stated.

"Boys, have you ever met someone and thought to yourself, 'they are the personification of this word'" Blake asked.

"Well, Amity...I always thought that he was the embodiment of 'friendship'" Roaul answered. Sun, however, was stumped.

"Okay, well, I remember getting to know Ruby and thinking, 'this girl is the embodiment ofpurity'" Blake exampled. "After a while, I saw Weiss was 'defiance.' And Yang was 'strength'"

"What am I?" Sun asked, picking up his drink by his tail.

"Jury's still out on that one, but I'm leaning towards 'earnest'" Blake answered as Sun took a sip of his drink. "At first, I thought Adam was 'justice,' then I thought he was 'passion.' But over time, I realised I was wrong. He wasn't any of those things. He was 'spite.' Not 'hatred', not 'rage', 'spite.' He won't accept equality, only suffering for what he feels the world did to him, and his way of thinking is dangerously contagious. That's what worries me about Ilia. She's not like Adam, not yet at least, but I don't know how long that will last"
