Personality: Stella is kind hearted and very gentle. She's quick to laugh and easy to get along with. She's very passionate about what she believes in and will fight for it. She's intelligent and clever and has a way with words. She enjoys friendly debates because it keeps her mind active, so she's pretty argumentative and questions everything, which sometimes makes her seem a bit rude. She very creative and imaginative, and often lets her ideas run wild. However, she isn't as happy and carefree as she seems to be. Being blind has left her feel quite depressed sometimes. She's often reminded about how "broken" she is and fears others only see her that way, leading her to become depressed, but she usually hides this very well and she tries not to let it get the best of her. She's always optimistic, and doesn’t want to let her disability stop her from doing anything she wants to.

Likes: Mainly, Stella likes to sing. Music is something she doesn't need her eyes for. Her voice is lovely and she's actually taught herself how to play both the piano and violin blind. She enjoys creating stories in her head and hopes one day she can get one published, but she beer writes anything down. She's very clumsy and not very useful in the kitchen, but she loves being in the kitchen when someone else is cooking. She loves the smell of food. She loves listening to others, especially when they read to her. She love animals of all sorts, she can even ride horses. She loves holding intellectual conversations, and her absolute favorite thing to do is sit in the garden. Her sense of smell is very strong and the smell of life in the garden almost makes up for not being able to see it.

Dislikes: For obvious reasons, Stella doesn't like reading. She likes listening to others read to her, but she hadn't held a book and she could never seem to get the hang of Braille. She can be a bit clumsy since she can't usually see where she's going, so for that reason, she doesn't like to move around a lot, and she's a very bad dancer and doesn't like to do it (though he parents believe that with the right person guiding her, she could be a wonderful dancer). She doesn't like loud or sudden noises, and she's scared of thunderstorms, they can send her into panic attacks. On bad days, she doesn't like herself. She hates feeling useless and sometimes feels that because she's blind, she always has to rely on others to help her and that makes her feel useless. She doesn't want to be so dependent, but she can't help it.

Strengths: Belle is easy to get along with and people tend to be comfortable around her. She's usually a hard worker in whatever she does.

Weaknesses: She's a bit insecure and she tends to focus more on other people's lives more than her own.

Backstory: Bellemira grew up in a neighboring kingdom with her family of 7. Though there were more boys than girls, Belle would partake in plenty of activities with both her mother and father. She would bake and have tea parties with her mom and sister and would play soccer and fish with her dad and brothers. When she was about 12, the attack on the kingdom happened. Her town would keep them updated on the events that were happening and she was shocked. As time went on she kept tabs on the kingdom and when she saw that it was recovering from the attack she wanted to visit it. Once she was old enough she did exactly that.

Fears: Stella is scared of thunderstorms and loud and sudden noises (as stated above), and she’s terrified of spending the rest of her life alone.

Flaws: She tends to let people walk all over her. She’s not spineless, she knows how to stand up for herself, but often she just doesn’t think it’s worth the effort to fight back. Her depression is another big flaw, and dampens the way she feels about herself.

Weakness: Obviously her biggest weakness os being blind. Because of it, she can never be alone. She needs help walking, eating, getting dressed, basically with everything. There’s always someone with her, usually a trusted maid ((it would be cool to have someone play her??)).

Strengths: Because Stella is blind, her other senses are stronger. She has excellent hearing and smell, and unusually good tastebuds. Also, because she can’t see, she’s has to judge people based on other things that aren’t visible to the human eye. This means she’s an excellent judge of character and can pick up things that most people can’t.

Bio: Stella was a surprise to her family, evident by the age gap between her and her older brother, who was 20 when she was born. She was born blind, and the challenges it caused with all the care and maintenance she required caused problems between her family. When she was just a small child, her parents divorced, quite uncommon for kings and Queens. They just couldn’t seem to agree on what was best for her. She spent years hardy ever leaving her castle. The only one who treated her like an actual person was her brother, but soon, he married and started a family, then their father died of heart failure and her brother took the throne, leaving Stella feeling more lonely. Now, she’s of prime marrying age, but she has never found a suitable husband. No one wants a broken toy. Hearing of the Selection, her brother sent Stella to France, in the hope of her finding love while also forging a lasting bond through marriage between the two countries.

Thoughts on the Selection: Stella is very excited. She’s hardly ever left her palace let alone been to another country before. Even if she doesn’t find a husband, she plans to make the most of this experience. Deep down, she’s hoping to finally find someone who doesn’t think she’s broken.

Other: She has problems sleeping because she never knows when it’s night and when it’s day. She’s completely reliant on those around her.
