We walked into the football field, trying to find our seats. I had bought us the tickets with the money I was earning from our local grocery store. I was a bagger. Between you and me, I also bought the tickets to get closer to Penelope. She was beautiful, her ginger hair and brown eyes. She had freckles all over her face. She always wore expensie designer clothes.
McKenna held her book in one hand, her purse in the other. She always had to carry those with her. She walked up the stairs up to the bleachers, her brown curls bouncing with the movement. She flashed a smile, acknowledging us that she had found the perfect seats. Her blue eyes dazzled in the moon light.
Miguel followed behind, his dark brown hair seemed black in the dark of the night. His mixed skin seemed lighter, making him look less hispanic. He followed McKenna, excited to see what would happen.
Lee was right behind, in front of Penelope. His blond hair swaying as he walked up the stairs. His brown eyes matching the color of McKenna's hair.
Penelope was right in front of me, and I was mesmerized by the beauty of her. Her flawless skin, curly hair, and deep brown eyes. Her picture was in-printed into my brain.
We finallly sat down, and I admired the field. The third quarter had just started when, I came across this man. Old, probably in his fifties. Gray hair to match his gray eyes. He walked over to our side of the stadium. He sat in the row directly in front of us. He smiled, and cheered for our team, the Widdletown Whales. He was excited to be at the game, he kept checking his phone. It was like he was waiting for instruction.
What tipped me off though, was the fact that he left ten minutes after he showed up. I decided that we needed to follow him. I got up, motioning for the others to follow. McKenna got up, but before Miguel could follow something happened in the game.
"Que pase fue una intercepcion!" he yelled, outraged. i didn't have time to ask him what it meant. He followed reluctantly, and I leaned in to whisper to him.
"Get used to this, it happens a lot."
