The McShannon house was built by David McShannon over 100years ago for his family he was a wealthy man who made his money collecting and selling items all across the country. his family have lived and died in the house for several generations. The first person to die in the ten-bedroom house just 2 years after its construction was Layla Mcshannon Davids 15 year old sister who is said to have fallen from her bedroom window on the third floor when talking to the local butchers boy who was trying to court her. It is said that their mother went mad with grief and started trying to commune with her daughter through the veil but ended up comunicating to something entirely different from her innocent daughter.
Over the years their were many seemingly accidental deaths, there was little Michael, a local lad who was visiting to play with the McShannon children who fell down the stairs breaking his neck, Craig McShannon who was killed when his own car backed over him when his new handbrake failed, and Alice O'Leary who was engaged to Thomas McShannon who died on her wedding day when her dress caught fire, when a candle fell of its stand on to her train. Its said no one heard her screams over the wedding band and they only realised she was dead when she didnt enter when the smell of burnt flesh reached their noses.
Now most would say these were unfortunate accidents but some belive something other wordly caused these deaths for reasons unknown. Some believe the souls of these unfortunate people wander the house waiting to pass throught the veil to their final destination but are held back by demonic forces.
