Keisha

After checking up on how Thomas was doing, Keisha left his house. As she exited, she saw a man wearing just shorts and a towel around his neck passing the house. He looked a little familiar..

"James?" She looked down at her watch.  "What the hell are you doing at 4:30 in the morning?"

The man stopped in front of her. "Running. What about you?"

"I just had to check on Thomas," she replied with a shrug.

"How is he?"

"He's fine more or less. Aren't you tired?"

"No, should I be?"

Keisha gave a small laugh. "Well it's night so why not?"

"Well it's early morning actually." He shrugged. "Sorry. I guess it's just a habit even though I'm on break."

She rolled her eyes and gave a nod. "Yeah, true."

"So, I gave Thomas some new tech I made yesterday. Anyways I gotta go. Bye." He started jogging away.

A voice started speaking in her head. "That tech could be faulty you know. I wouldn't trust it."

Keisha waved goodbye to James. What was that voice though? Within her head, she told the voice, 'You're probably lying.'

"He tried to kill Kristine! Who knows who else he'd kill?"

Keisha tried to ignore the voice.

"I know you're trying to ignore me, Keisha. He's a murderer."

Keisha stopped for a moment. 'Who exactly are you anyways? And how do you know my name?'

"Uh.. well I'm Shade. And I overheard it earlier."

'Okay.. Well, he couldn't have killed her. We'll need more information.' She turned around, starting to walk back to Thomas' house.

Keisha sighed, closing the door. She walked over to Thomas' room. She looked into the room and was greeted by a huge mess. Trash all over the floor, papers everywhere. "Wake up! I have to work. And you have an interview." There was no reply.

Shade appeared beside Keisha. "Hi!"

"Oh. It's you."

"What? Do you have an issue with me?"

"Sorta. You seem evil." She turned her attention back to Thomas. "WAKE UP!"

The spirit gave a laugh. "I'm only a little evil. Now, do you need any help?"

"Yes. Please," she replied, exasperated.

Shade floated towards Thomas. He put both of his hands on the boy's chest and gave him a small electric shock.

Thomas jumped up and started looking around, "What the fuck!?"

"See! He's awake now." Shade looked back towards Keisha. "Why does he need to be awake?"

"He has an interview." Keisha replied.

"Ooh, with whom?"

Thomas groaned. "With a school. An interview to be a teacher. And it's Keisha's fucking idea. I hate teens." He began taking off his shirt.

"Ah. I could never be a teacher. Mostly cause I'm not human. I also get angry easily."

"Well he's perfect for the job," Keisha walked out as Thomas began changing.

Shade followed Keisha out of the room. "Earlier, you said that we needed more information. About what exactly?"

"We need any information we can get about the girl."
