"-And that is why you should pick the ANYONE else besides Umikia Johnson" I sipped my coffee and I continued to write on the whiteboard about the written equations.

"Miss Powell who decides what in my life- you or me?" I didn't look at her but I could tell she looked defeated "You sir" I nodded and put down the marker "Correct- And that means I can have whoever the fuck I want for my assistant correct?" I heard her take a deep breath and exhale shuffling around "Correct sir" I turned around to face her. Her head hanging low and her demeanor defeated.

"Perfect"

I sat down on my desk staring at her photo in the registry. "Perfect"

Umikia Johnson

"Yeah girl then I got mad but I didn't pop off like I wanted to they'll call the cops on me" I plopped down on my bed and breathed out.
Ronnie's face rolled her eyes dramatically "Girl after what she said to you I would of told that girl about herself trust and believe" I laughed and stuck my tongue out at her. "It's fine because I got someone's number anyways" Ronnie's eyes light up and she shoved her face in the camera "OHH WHO SIS TEA SPILL?"

I sighed romantically "Oh~ just a 5'11 blonde hair brown eyes boyish beauty" she screamed and started to laugh "How was the dick?" My eyes snapped to her on the phone "Ronnie I did not sleep with him you know I still got my virginity" Ronnie rolled her eyes the 5th time this call "Still waiting for marriage girl that gets old you need some dick sis" I waved my hand at her and dropped my phone on my bed "I got Mr. Vibrator I'm fine" "Girl that vanilla little bean ain't doing shit for a grown ass women I'd get that shit for a 16 year old not a 24 year old" she sassed through the phone.

"Girl bye you crazy" I busted out in laughter while she told me to buy multiple sized dildos for myself.

"Ronnie girl I-" I was cut off by a random number popping in my phone "I'll call you back some number is calling me" I said picking up my phone "It better be a dick appointment Umikia I ain't playing with your frigid ass" I hung up the phone chuckling and answered the phone.

"Ms. Johnson?" Is that her I know she ain't calling my phone about no harassment charges "Ms. Powell I didn't expect your call this evening" Yes Umikia kill them with kindness girl "Oh, I fully aware I'm telling ringing you to tell you, that you- you got the job for Mr. Romano you start tomorrow morning at 8:25am the address will be in the email I addressed to you don't be late this time- oh and Ms. Johnson, this was not my decision." Click I sat the phone down on my bed and stared into my wall for a good three seconds before smiling and jumping up and down I snatched up my phone and called Ronnie.

"Girl let me tell you something you would not believe."

•••

I had arrived at the same mansion around 8:15am making sure I was super early this time I dressed into the black pants suit with red heels knowing his style after seeing everyone dressed in it black and red my hair wasn't pull back to my disdain my Afro was not having none of it sticking everywhere finally falling to my shoulders.

I pulled up to the same gate and rolled down my window. "Miss Umikia wow your a sight for sore eyes" I smile and lean out the window "Mr. Powers am I expected?" I joke he leans down licking his lips extra slow "To me no, I don't think I can expect such beauty every morning" I laugh shrug my shoulders a little bit "I get it from my momma anyways I'm super early today don't need to run right" he stands up holding his earpiece "By the way the boss seems it sounds like your late there would be a man in front to show you where you need to go bye-bye Ms. Foxxy Cleopatra" I laugh and roll up my windows while the gate opens

As he said there was another mission impossible man standing right there for me "Ms. Johnson hello I'll escort you to Mr. Romano's office" I wave hi and walk next to him "You can call me Umikia you are?" He side eye me for a second and continue walking "Don't worry we're co-workers I don't bite" his face shows no emotion before saying "Ethan"

I nod my head "Ethan- "Ethan Waters at your service miss" I mock salute him and continue walking without continuing conversation.

"We're here Ms. Umikia good luck" before I can say anything he turns around and leaves it took probably about 10 minutes to walk here from long corridors to elevators why would a single male even live here by himself it seems lonely.

I was outside a door I checked my watch and it was 8:25 at the dot. I knocked on the door and listened out before a single "Come in" was heard.

I walked in keeping my eyes on the ground before I can properly look him in the eye I close the door behind me while my ankle throb from walking so far in heels. I look up at him and I would of thought my heart would have dropped from staring at him too long.

He looked like an angel hand crafted by god himself black hair tumbled all over his head he wore a tight Armani suit all black with white Luis Vuitton shoes I had a bad hunch that this man loved the color black.

His eyes were a piercing blue staring me dead into my soul my knees felt weak and I was- for a second- afraid to walk thinking I would fall.

I could see the tattoos creeping up his neck whilst he stared at me I could sense he was taking in all of me same I did him.

"Mr. Romano nice to meet you finally" I spoke after what had felt like an entire eternity "Ms. Johnson my absolute pleasure" he spoke slow and deep raspy even like he doesn't use his voice for anything like a animal caged up and finally let back into the jungle.

I gulped the knot that formed in my throat and other places and stuck out my hand for him to shake "Well what do I do" I stared at me for a couple seconds more before touching my hand in that hard one of his years of hours to days writing proved in his rough fingers he slowly lifted my hand to his lips staring at me the whole time and kissed it lightly.

"Oh Ms. Johnson we'll get there, please be careful it's a lot and it's long"
