I headed to the parking lot to put the food inside my car. I am hungry, but that's not the point. The point is that Mr. Fuller just took my books and I don't know where to find him. I ran back inside after locking my car and walked around to look for him. Maybe he's in the faculty room? I peeked inside the room but he wasn't there. Nope. Where could he be? I know he's not in the classroom. But he's also not in the faculty? I frowned, feeling a little cold. I didn't expect today to be so cold. I'm only wearing a knitted sweater for warmth but since it started snowing, it's really cold. Especially with this skirt. I sighed, walking around some more to feel less cold. I stopped right in front of the library and was about to go in when I felt my phone vibrate. Alice is calling.
"Yeah?" I answered "Where are you? The party just finished and they're cleaning up. We should go, the snow is getting a hit heavy." I went near the window and saw what she was saying. It's the first snow and it's already snowing quite hard. "Yeah..." I trailed off, hearing a door opening, I looked at the library and there he was, with all my books and that stupid grin. "I'll meet you at the lockers in a bit." I said before hanging up.
"I knew you'd know where I am." He walked towards me and handed my books. "Thanks." I said before running off to where Alice was.
"Where were you?" Alice asks as soon as she sees me, "And why did you run?" she looks behind me to see if someone was chasing me. "It's nothing. Let's go?" I asked and she nodded, suspicious of what just happened.
While we were heading towards the parking lot, Alice was telling me about how Mr. Fuller ate, went to the faculty and returned to get put some food in a takeout box before taking off. "He's weird. I really don't like him that much. He's really childish and thinks he's funny but he's not. He gets mad a lot then after a couple of minutes, he'd be okay again." I nod and opened my car. Thank god I placed the food in the backseat. "I'm that moody too though. I'm weird like that too." I said to her as I started my car.
"Yeah you're moody, but not to that extent." She shrugged, making herself comfortable. "Why does everything you own smell like coconuts?" She asks, changing the topic. I backed my car out of the parking lot and drove off to her place. "I don't know. Probably because of the things I use."
"Yeah. I guess almost everything you own does have a coconutty smell." She says before falling quiet. The whole ride was quiet and I think she fell asleep midway and woke up again but didn't bother to talk. It was a comfortable silence. I dropped her off and went on my way home, refusing their offer to grab some tea.
When I went home, the lights were off. They went to work. I turned on the lights and headed upstairs to my room and finished packing. I took a quick shower and changed into a pair of leggings and a sweatshirt. I opened my laptop and just started to binge watch Sherlock on Netflix.
I heard a car pull over and the door open a couple of hours later, "C! I got some takeout, come downstairs!" Mom called out and I paused what I was watching and went to the kitchen. The smell of dumplings and fried noodles hit my nose, that's when I remembered that I have food in my car. I ran to the back and opened the door to the garage, opened my car and saw the food there. I took the cold food and headed back to the kitchen to microwave it.
"Where'd you get that?"
"Alice's class had a party and gave me some food. I didn't get to eat it a while ago. I forgot about it in my car." I semi-lied. I sat down, waiting for the food to heat up and as if on cue, ding!
I opened the microwave and took out the food, opening the box. I didn't see what he placed here before but now that I see it, there were two garlic breads, grilled chicken, and pesto pasta. Did they just take out some food from Pierre's? I chuckled to myself and transfered it to my plate. Mom and I ate together since dad was going to come home a bit late, he's in charge of training their new employees. I cleaned up after we were done and went back to my room to continue watching Sherlock until I drifted off to sleep.
