Maggie
Holy crap! She thought to herself. Brandon asked her out on a date. What was with the men in her life? She’d wanted to go out with Brandon for weeks now and just as Robert makes a pass at her, Brandon finally made a move of his own. Her heart was beating fast as she shoved her feet into her boots and threw her bag over her shoulder. She was about to make a run for her house when she remembered leaving her coat inside. Double crap! She thought as the flutter in her heart still furiously beat inside her chest. She turned back towards the door and barged right in hoping he wouldn’t mind. As she pushed her way through the door, it gave way quickly revealing Brandon on the opposite side holding her coat.
“You forgot this,” he said with a slight grin.
Without acknowledging the coat Maggie pushed forward, placed her hands on either side of his face, and kissed Brandon. He wrapped his arms around the small of her back and squeezed her against his torso. Kicking the door closed behind her she held on to him as he steered her towards his couch.
He took his time kissing her, testing the feel of his mouth against hers, being tentative and a little playful. Gentle touches to her face and hips turned urgent. Maggie sighed, causing Brandon to groan quietly. Everything about this moment felt completely right. Eventually, she pulled back and waited for him to open his eyes, hoping she didn’t see regret anywhere within them. After a couple of audible exhales his eyes slowly made their way from her mouth to her eyes. God help her, but he looked content.
“I can’t imagine that going any better than it just did.” He was breathless and she was pleased with Brandon’s flushed cheeks. “Maggie, I’ve wanted to do that for a long time now.” He pulled her back for another urgent kiss which she gladly accepted. She wrapped her arms around his neck, twining her fingers in his hair, tugging on the strands.
They kissed their way to his couch and didn’t come up for air until they absolutely needed to. Maggie ran her thumb across his bottom lip and when he leaned forward to kiss his way back up her neck, she obliged.
“Brandon, I don’t want to send you the wrong signal here, I promise I didn’t plan on attacking you this morning.” She ran her fingers through his soft hair and shuddered when he sucked on her earlobe and kissed her cheekbone.
“Maggie, you can attack me any time you deem necessary.” He smiled and she melted back into his arms.
“I really need to go,” she said between kisses to his mouth, his chin, his jaw. “Appointments,” was the only word she could squeeze from her lips.
Brandon tucked his head down and captured her lips again in a soft, sensual kiss. “OK,” was all he said and she nuzzled her nose against his.
She made an effort to stand, but with his firm grip on her waist, ended up leaning backwards and failing at the task. The momentum caused Brandon to lay over her and he peppered kisses across her collarbone in the most delicious way.
She giggled and grabbed his face to still his movements. “Seriously, you make a great argument here, but I can’t be late.”
“So go,” he mumbled against her neck. “What’s keeping you?” He traced his tongue from her chin to her lips and she opened her mouth on instinct to let him in.
“Ah, Brandon.” With one quick peck she quickly stood and braced herself against the side of his couch for support. “I’m leaving before you convince me otherwise. I’ll call you later.”
She walked around the furniture, not taking her eyes off of his and smiled at the sinful look he was giving her. She stooped down to pick up her jacket and bag and waved at him as she bolted through his front door.
