Part 2- fired

Cassie's POV

I run across the room, into the cafe's kitchen, to get a broom.

"I'm so sorry" I apologize as I try to clean up all the broken glass pieces and ruined food from the floor.
The customer sighs and mumbles something about teens this days. I wouldn't exactly consider myself as a teenager. Seeing that I'm 21 years old. But my looks always trick people.

I am small, I always have to look up at people. I have long, curly, brown hair. That reach down to my elbows. People say I look like I'm 17. Sometimes I feel 17 again too. Specially at this moment I have always been clumsy, weird that I have kept my job for so long already.

My boss comes out to see what's happening. He runs straight over to the costumer, and tells him that he can get the rest of the meal, The part I didn't drop on the floor, for free. The cosumer nod, and take his sandwich and cup of coffee and disappear out the door.

"Cassie, this is the 5th plate you have broken this month" my boss says.
I look down on my shoes
"We can't keep it going like this"
I nod, while avoiding to look up at him. He sigh. "I'm afraid I have to fire you"

I fight hard, to keep my tears back. "I understand" I say, and give him a sad smile.

Joey's POV

I look out of the window. The sky is getting darker and darker by the minute. I sigh. I haven't done anything, except for filming a video all day. I decide to get out of the apartment before I go nuts. I find my phone and deal Cat's number. She's always down for some boba.

"Hello?" I finally hear after 5 rings

"Hi girl" I say "um I was wondering if you wanted to come get boba whit me"
I hear her sigh in the other end of the line.

"Oh I really want, but I can't"

"But..but..pleas" I beg whit the cutest, most innocent voice I can make. Cat laugh.

"I'm sorry Joey, but my family is coming to visit me in less than an hour. I have to clean and make..."

"It's ok" I say

"You shore?"

"Of course! next week?"

"Deal"

After trying multiple people, I give up, and decide to just go and get boba by myself.
