Geet for the very first time misses her train, all thanks to Mumbai traffic. Next day, she flies back home as no train reservations are available anytime soon.
On reaching home, she is informed that an NRI boy Gautam is already at her house with his family, their marriage date has been fixed as well

Gautam and Geet's encounter.

"Wow, tum apni photo se bhi zyada hot ho yaar." Gautam

Geet suprised "Excuse me."

Gautam "Tumhare gharwale mujhe do din se bas khilaye ja rahe hai aur tumhare pictures dikhaye ja rahe hai. Agar ek aur nivala khaya toh marr jaunga, aur ek aur album dekha toh pighal jaunga."

Geet "Kya matlab."

Gautam "Dekho mujhe apni azaadi bahot pyaari hai, sorry agar tumhara dil toote.. woh toh mujhe mom zabardasti India lekar aayi hai aur mera passport bhi le liya hai, courtship jaisa kuch hota toh main ek baar soch bhi leta ..since you're very hot, but this one meeting and marriage is so not my cup of tea. What do I do?"

Geet excited "Toh tum shaadi nahi karna chahte? Omygod, thank goodness.

Geet hugs Gautam. Gautam is suprised.

Geet continues "Dekho main bhaagne wali Anshuman ke pass Manali, hamara rishta toot jayega, phirr tum London wapas chale jaana."

Gautam "What ? No ! Wait, who's Anshuman ?"

Geet "Main aur anshuman pyaar karte hai ek dusre se, hum dono shaadi karne wale hai "

Gautam "What No ! Tum nahi bhaag sakti."

Geet "Kyun?"

Gautam "Mera kya hoga?"

Geet "Tum London wapas chale jaana, waha mujhse bhi zyada hott ladkiya mil jaayengi"

Gautam "Haan, woh toh hai. (Smiles imagining) Par tum nahi bhag sakti, tum samajh nahi rahi ho, agar rishta toota toh, meri maa mere liye dusra jhatt se dhoond legi aur agar woh tumhare jitni bhi hott nahi hui toh? I need a good solution.

Geet "I'll get you, your passport, phir toh tum ja sakte ho na"

Gautam "Sab relatives airport pe nazar jamaye baithe hai, meri toh dead body tak ko na enter hone de woh gate ke through. Mujhe kuch nahi pata, agar tum bhaag rahi ho, toh tumhe mujhe bhi yahan se bhagana padega."

Geet "Vaise yeh idea bhi accha hai, hum dono saath bhaag chalte hai, dekho.. hum dono by road manali jaayenge, wahan se tum flight se london chale jana, aur tumhara koi rishtedaar bhi tumhe nahi rok paayega."

Geet and Gautam together hatch an effective plan to run away together. They successfully do so, right before their wedding day.

On reaching Manali, Anshuman refuses to marry Geet. He denies ever loving her, he just wanted to date her, never marry her.

Geet is completely shattered. Gautam consoles her and requests her to come to London with him.
Geet is reluctant.
Gautam stays adamant and refuses to fly back to London without her, since she has nowhere to go.

Eventually Geet agrees.
Gautam helps Geet get a teaching job in London.
They end up becoming housemates and best of friends.
Geet slowly gets over Anshuman.
