Kane's piont of view
I smelled her as soon as she stepped out of her brother's car. My bestest of best friends...............if that makes any sense, oh well I dont care. She might be my best friend but also my best friend that I'm utterly in love with. Yea I said I'm in love with her and she doesnt know it I wanna tell her but I can't knowing she might feel that were friends and then nothing else and then might mess up our whole friendship and ruin everything all together. And knowing that she has a soul mate out their that could take her from me anytime even if we did get together and then I would just have to go jump off a cliff.
I dont have a mate anymore so I learned to actually love her with my own feelings and not just whoever fate paired me with. I dont get how fate paired beacuse obviously they were so wrong with me I just wish Rain was mine. Rain snapped me out of my memory greeting us her hello. Everyone talked small talk.
Then rian suddenly asked "Hey guys do you...........are you guys feelling some magnetic pull towards the school or anything cause I know I do and it's bugging me and I wanna go find out what it is" in one quick breath. Man can she have a motor mouth but just something else I love about her. Luckily we've been arounf her long enough to understand her jumbled phrases and sentences. Everyone was giving her that what-are-you-crazy look so I decided to be the first to speak.
"Hey maybe that's the pull you feel from your mate" I teased but then realising what I had said wanted to take it back.
"Really Kane?" She stated in a bored tone
"No for fake" I said in sarcastically-duh voice then burst out into another fit of laughter.
"Kane do know how anoying you are?" She state in an exasperated tone. How I loved the way she looked at me when she gets annoyed with me just so damn adorable.
"Yes I do, but u love me." I stated in proud voice standing tall and chest puff out becuase I was the onnly guy she hung around with and her best friend then thought what if that all she thought just friends she had to love me right?. "Wait you do love me, don't you Rain?"
"Yes Kane I love you" She said in a friendly way but me wishing it was more than just that.
"I was only joking though you know that right 'bout the whole mate thing cause I don't want you to find your mate not now or ever.........." I stated stubbornly then my eyes widened a faction of an inch as I didnt want her to know that I loved her and why I really didn't want her to find a mate so I calmed my face and said " and that's because you would turn like every other girl and forget that they have friends and then me and Alex would be hurt while the only thing running through your mind is mate mate mate mate mate and mate this, mate that, What's he doing?, Where is he? and blah blah blah you get the piont right?" I rushed out so fast I'm pretty sure that has been the fastest thing I have ever said maybe faster than Rain.....nah but that was pretty fast.
"Yea I get it" she said seeminly like she understood but not by what I had said.
Then the bell and we headed off to our lockers and then classes my and Rain arms locked which made me smile. As we were walking Rain seemed to be deep in thought and I just stared at her beauty till the bell rang and snapped us both back to reality. So I asked what she was thinkg about and was shocked when she said me. Why would she be thinking bout me? Was it a good thought I mean she looked pretty calm when I was staring at her. This gave me hope that maybe she did like me more than a friend.
"What about me?" I asked in my still surprised state.
"Nothing you need to know" WHAT? Nothing I needed to know. the girl of my dreams waz lost in though think about me of course I needed to know so I pulled the old friends cards on her.
"awwwwwwww come on that's so not cool we tell each other everything" I said becuase I really needed to know I needed to know now.
"Alright maybe I'll tell you later if you can remind me to tell you with that short attention span of yours" She said and then darted into the class room. So not fair but I knew for sure I would remember I mean come on the girl of my dreams think about he all the time n she said she was thinking bout me course I was going to remember.
"Heeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyy that's not fair" he shouted also walking into the class making a commotion. We have every class together which I loved, who wouldnt got every class with the girl of my dreams. Yea I so love it.
"Kane do you smell that?" She suddenly asked excited
"Smell what" I said cautiously
"That smell it's like the best thing I've ever smelled" So I started to sniff the air
"All I smell is the new guys scent got a whiff of him earlier when I passed by him doesn't smell that good to me" then my eyes widened in shock as I looked at her. Oh no! no no no no no this cant be happening.
"What Kane, what is it? You ok?" She asked nervously. What do I tell her? I didnt want her to find her mate and knew that's what was happening I know the sign even though I would never experience them. The magnetic pull she asked about and now this smell she's askin about when all I smell is him. But I want her to be happy and who am I to deny her of that I can't stop that even if I wanted to. So I told he what I knew would make her happy, to see her happy would be enough for me.
"Nothing it's nothing, just remembered something I forgot to do yesterday that I'm now stuck with today. " I said feeling really depressed now, probably why she didnt wanna ask me what it was. "Why don't you go find out what your smelling Rain" I said very depressed and glumly. Right when I thought I had a chance with her and that she might like me back to.
"Are you sure I should do that?" She asked looking like she didnt wanna leave me in this newly depressed state but also really wanting to go see what the smell was. So I looked her in the eyes searching for something that would say she felat the same for me that I felt for her something that would tell me we would have a future or at least a hope just a glimpse of that. I could see the worry for me she had but that was probably her caring for me as a friend and I also the excitment she had of finding out what the smell was so I just looked down giving up and said
"Yea"
"Well okay if you think so, Hey miss may I please use the bathroom?" She said excitedly and I felt my heart begin to shatter.

I finally uploaded!!!!!! So sorry for making anyone reading this wait so long I really didnt have internet for 3 months and now school started so been pretty busy. Hope you enjoy and I'll try to upload again soon. I kno this may not seem like much cuz some of its a recap from rains point of view but i jus had the idea and though i'de let u in on the secret that kane is in love with rain.
